I ordered a "Free" CD and only authorized the cost of shipping and handling. I did not even received this CD but that didn't stop this company from taking my money without permission.

The following "unauthorized" payments were taken out of my account:

GSA/SBA Express for $29.95

Networkagenda.com for $7.95

Grant Search Assistant for $5.95

These "unauthorized" amounts have been taken out of my account 3 times for a total of 43.85 per month. These are services that I didn't even know about.

I still don't know what these companies are because I don't have a need for either of them.

I spoke with a customer service rep. and she could not find me in their system. She said that my request to have these "unauthorized" withdrawals cancelled was denied.

This is a ripoff. Companies that participate in these type of unethical practices need to be punished.

I would like to have some help in retrieving my money back, canceling this false account and putting a stop to this unethical behavior.

I also was involved in a misunderstanding with Raven Media and their Grant Master Program. I ordered their DVD at the cost of $2.99 for shipping and processing. Later I discovered that $39.95 + $7.95 + $9.95 had been charged to my credit card. Needless to say I was stunned and angry for I was not aware of ordering these services. I imediately called my credit card company and complained that I did not aurthorize these charges. They said they will identify them as disputed items. I then found this site and read of all the other people who either misread the free DVD advertizement or just didnt read the fine print and agonized at how am I going to get out of this gross misunderstanding. After reading all the horror stories about not being able to contact the company and being able to cancel I paniced. I called Ryan Riddle on his cell phone but I left a message with him saying I wanted to cancel. Then I e-mailed them and demanded that they cancel me out. At that time I had visions of paying out $57.85 a month for life.I then saw a comment indicating that you had to call the company using the phone number in the DVD phamplet 1-800-546-2919 and call them to cancel your memberships in all three progams. I called this number first thing monday morning and got them imediately Karen answered and I explained that I wanted to cancel imediately. She was very corial and gave me three conformation numbers to cancel all three memberships and said as of that moment no further charges would be levied. I was relieved but still perturbed that I allowed myself to get into such a stupid position. And concerned that the charges would actually cease. I later recieved an e-mail from Tony Skougard assitant to Ryan Riddle that all the charges were indicated in the proposal and I should have read them. But he understood that there was a miscommunication and he would issue a refund of one months membership fees. I dont think I should have been charged anything but was glad to have it over with. So in defence of this controversial company I must say they dealt with me promply and professionaly. I hope this may help all of you who like me un wittingly ordered these services and are in a quandry as to how to cancel them. Anthony
