Most tourists that plan on spending their holidays,in Nevada are not aware that a New law will be in effect beginning December 8th 2006. Smoking is now illegal in the casinos, public access areas, all hotel rooms, restaurants and bars. Fines and imprisonment can be imposed on those who don't know about the law or disobey it. People want to enjoy themselves not spend their money in fines, harrassment or imprisonment.

A Lot of Businesses and Individuals are Defying this Ban, based on infringement of personal choices and Freedom of Expression. You can however, still smoke in some casinos, while playing the slots.

The reason I posted this, is to make travelers aware so that they will have a happy holiday. Nobody wants to be harrassed, spending unnecessary fines to an entity that will find them guilty no matter what. The travel agencies are not telling potential holiday revelers. This State Law goes into effect on December 8th, 2006.
