Complaint Review: new age auto - midlothian texas

i bought my truck on ebay, new age auto,was the seller, in small town outside of dallas called midolothian tx. im gonna shorten the story for now. i was the high bidder in the aution ,after talking to the carlot owner (arron).he did a hundred or so point walk arround on the phone with me,telling me the two things wrong with the truck. that was a small dent in the rear corner just above the bumper and a few cigg burns in the driver seat only .

he said other than that the truck was excellent(ive never been ripped off very much in my life,so i beleived this con artist) . the ad on ebay said the same thing and even said that if ,when i got to the airport to take delivery of the truck ,and was not completly satisfied that he will put 50.00 dollars towards my trip home and refund the money.

so i sent a cashiers check for 15k dollars. well the first thing i said when i got off the plane was im not takeing that . well arron was suposed to be the one meeting me. but he sent two drivers instead to drop the truck off. at first sight the truck looked like hell .it was not excellent .dents and scrathes and chips all the down both sides and the tailgate was beat to hell, with the trim falling off.

we jumped in and drove down to the side of the road ,still on airport premisies . the steering wheel was burnt from the sun all the way to the metal. dashboard had 2 wide 2 inch long cracks in it,and the carpet was so hard with grease and gum and chewing tobacco stains ,and smelled like 4 men lived in it for a year or so. so again i said id like my money back. the worker(kyle)said hed call the arron (the boss).i said ok . they taked in private on his mobile . then kyle came to me and said what would you give for the truck. i said maybe 10 or 11k . so he said he would have to call the boss back. they talked in private agian on the mobile phones.

kyle came to me and said they would give me 1000.00 back on the truck .i said noway ,that i would like my money back. kyle said they couldn't do that . i explained what the ad said. he looked down at the ground and said we cant do that either . we stood there for minutes without a word . i think it was me who finally said .give me my money back or give me 4 or 5k back .then i said call the boss and let me talk to him .the boss to this day has never talked to me again .he would not answer the phone .i said 4k or 5k or my money back. he said no. so i walked off. down the road with my baggage. i looked back after a while and saw the two workers (kyle)and another driver jump in the other vehicle and drive off .so im thinking that the truck would be abandoned and its paid for too ,so i walk back and look in the truck and the keys were in it along with all the paperwork signed off by arron the boss. so i called arron on his mobile and at the office atleast 10 times leaveing messages that i was going to be at his office in the morn if he did not answer his phone tonight . (6:30pm). so i drove about 30 miles out of dallas to his carlot . it looked like a closed down gas station turned in to a carlot .it was closed so i checked in to a hotel and tried to keep calling with no answer . i went to sleep and woke at 10 or so and remembered that kyle had said that arron would not be back till friday. this was tues. so i thought that i would just go home and deal with it later .

i have a shedule that i was on as well. so i drove home to louisville ky 855 miles . i drove the truck straight to the ford dealer and had it fixed to the point of being safe . every tierod end ,balljoint,inter and outer axle etc,steering box, etc. had to be replaced just to get the truck to align the front end . it had play in it 1/4turn each way you turned it . it was really to dangerous to drive.but i used to drive for a living so i fought it all the way to louisville. ahstray falls out on every bump , no windshield wipers,auto window in the back didnt work .the tint on the windows was so scrathed up ,i had to replace that to .and the outside of the glass is scrached bad . new steering wheel. 3 tires that matched were worn 70% the forth was shot and full of fix a flat with a cracked rim . the truck leaked oil fast ,the water pump was leaking the fuel pump was bad . the list goes on and on .

i want my money back plus the money i put in to it . or just the money i put into it to get it to ok condition. so far i have spent 6 about 6500.00 dollars on it , without fixing the body and the comedics to get the truck presentable.i think it will take another 2000.00 dollars to complete. how stupid am i . i know that i made a dumb move .

i have an attorney working on this case now i think. arron still screens his calls but will let kyle answer the phone when i call . so far they have sent me 1500.00 dollars back . and we have mediated the deal on ebay's service called sqaure trade .when we could not come to a agreement , the mediator said that if we both agreed to him giveing us a way to settle this ,he could give his opinion that we would both be required to abide by.

so i say i agreed and arron said he did not agree , so the case was closed. the truck need lots of interior parts replaced. it needs more than you could ever imagine. it is a 1996 ford f350 powerstoke deisel with 178k miles on it . the ad said that it had 170k miles on it . that is a 8000 thousand miles diference right there . this guy is a real theif .
