Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I signed a contract with New Leaf modifications, Inc owned by Oleg Artishuk of Roseville,CA.  I paid $7000 for the loan modification service.  They promised that I will get my loan modified in 60-90 days.  From the time they charged my card  a total of $7000, they stopped communicating with me for a month until I told them that I will cancel my contract.  Then they passed my case from one person to another until it landed on an "analyst".  The analyst said she sent my paperworks to my lender in May.  I asked her for a status but she wouldn't reply to me for weeks until she told me in July that my lender declined my loan mod appn.  She and her mgr even suggested that I tell my lender false information that my husband lost his job so that they will approve my application. We didn't agree since it's falsification of information.  I kept on asking her for a status but she wouldn't reply for weeks again until she told me in August that my case was referred for refund back in July.  I sent them several emails and left several voicemails to follow-up on my refund but they wouldn't reply.  I even emailed their owner Oleg Artishuk but he wouldn't give me my money back until now.  He's using different alibis just to buy himself more time.  He victimized a lot of homeowners, he stole money from a lot of homeowners.  A lot of homeowners have already filed complaints to different govt agencies against him.  If you go to this blog you will see a lot of angry people demanding their refunds which Oleg hasn't given back until now:   http://loanworkout.org/2009/07/new-leaf-loan-modifications-dre-says-criminal-charges-may-be-filed/#comment-16360

Beware of this company, this is a scam company who victimized a lot of poor homeowners who were only hoping of getting their mortgage payments lowered but were unfortunately scammed by Oleg Artishuk.

60 day limit with mastercard

I too am a disgusted consumer with Green Leaf.  I started the process back in June and was told it was going to be $4000.  We paid in 2 installments using my mastercard and were told that we would begin to hear things in about 60-90 days.  I then did a little research around 6 weeks later, call it curiosity, but I started to ask questions and did online research, then found out that New leaf had been shown on the local news.  My heart lept into my mouth, i had had no contact from New Leaf, I tried to call the office, with no reply.  I panicked and traveled to the office tofind it was closed and locked up and the security guard had a few handwritten pieces of paper with olegs email address on them.  I emailed and asked what the H*** was going on, after a few attempts i got a reply but no information.  I contacted my credit card company, explained the situation that i had not had the service that i had paid for and I was lucky, i had contacted them in 55 days and my limit for claiming against a fraudulent transaction (as this is what it is) was 60 days!!  I received my monies back credited to my card and a letter saying they would investigate.  Thats not the end of the story, I then received a letter from my card issuer again about 5 weeks later stating that new evidence had been provided by oleg that said i had signed a contract etc.  The card company provided me with a copy ofthe evidence, it was not my handwriting, date or any such evidence.  He had provided FALSE information.  I wrote back offering a verifiable version of my signature and thathe was trying to con the card company (and me again).  Overall this has been such a mess but I consider myself one of the lucky ones.  I still worry however, this person has a lot of personal financial information of mine that I requested be returned, I have never heard from Oleg ever again.  Thought this story would help.

Thank you for the update.  Do you know when will be the next hearing against Oleg?  I also filed a complaint against Oleg to CA Atty General and also the CA DRE last year.  Are we gonna get an update from them regarding the status of this case?  Do you think there will be a great chance that we're getting our refunds back?

Regarding, American Express, how did you justify to them that you were scammed ?  Did you provide any kind of documentation to prove it and get your entire refund?  Please advise so that I can also try to do the same as I also paid thru credit card. Also, how long has it been since you contacted AMEX and got your refund back?

Oleg Artishuk back in Court

#5Consumer Suggestion

Wed, January 20, 2010

I was also a victim of Oleg and Green Tree Lending. AKA: New Leaf, Green Leaf, and others. Also involved were Second Chance Legal, Second Chance Negotiations

Oleg Artishuk was in court Tuesday Jan. 19, 2010. This was a hearing in front of an andministrative law judge in an attempt to pull his real estate license. I was the main witness testifying under oath and outlined the entire scam process. I paid $3,581 and received no loan modification and of course no refund even though the service "guaranteed a full refund" if they were unsuccessful.

Oleg did not have an attorney and the old saying is true. (The man who represents himself has a fool for a client)

Unbelievable that this guy is still in business and still trying to keep his license. The balls on this guy are truly amazing. His strategy at the hearing was poor and unorganized but it seems like he will be trying to point the blame at the other companies involved, Second Chance Legal and attorney Mark A. Caraska.  The evidence seemed pretty clear and hopefully the judge will make the right decision and revoke his real estate license.

If anyone else has been a victim of this guy I would suggest you contact Markus Beltramo at the CA dept. of Real Estate. He has a huge file on Oleg with hundreds of victims. Please also contact the Sacramento County District attorneys office, they have a criminal investigation under way as does the CA Attorney General's Office. I have contact phone numbers and additional names if you need them.

On a very nice side note American Express refunded my entire balance. They spent about 2 weeks and instantly determined that this was fraud. Hopefully they will continue their investigation of Oleg and his business and bring criminal charges.
