Newton Brandford ripoff Tried to Scam Me Out Of Items I Was Selling On Internet Newspaper Sites!! Internet
I put 2 items on 4 or 5 Newspapers to sell. I listed the items under their Miscellaneous sites and put them on for about 1 month.
I started to receive emails - some marked URGENT - that they wanted my info on the items. This is one of the emails I received exactly as it was written:
Dear Seller,Good Day, this is a purchase request notification for your item place on this internet, infact, I am satify with it. However, first of all let me Introduce my self to you, I am Nr Newton Brandford, I am a procurement agent, i specialized on the purchases of both new and used item round the globe on behalf of my respective client expectially as it is upong there request furthermore prior to placing an order for it i would like you to furnish me further with the following enquirres,-How long have you been using it, your reason for selling it, It's picture for closer look your final asking price excluding the shipping cost as this will be handle by my local shippers who will come to your place of location for pick up immediatly payment is made if a certified cashier cheque or a bank money orther to be drawn from a US bank is acceptable as means of payment. if you are satisfied and comfortable with that do not hesitate to send your payment information that is your Name as it will reflect on the payemtn and your contact address (Not a P.O.Box Address)including your Contact Phone Number for easy communication so as to facilitate your payment. conclusively, I am looking forward to do business trasaction with you in good faith and trust, god bless you. After receiving all the other emails I knew it was not legit. I want these people stopped before some elderly person or young person, who are susceptible to these people, get caught in their web.
After all these emails I have come to think there is actually a school out there teaching people how to be a Rip Off Artist. Most of these emails are exactly alike or very near to it.
I will do what I can to help stop them.
