Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Next Star Productions falsely advertise they are holding auditions for TV commercials. When you go to one of their so called auditions it turns out to be a sales pitch. They get kids hopes up by telling if they make the cut they will call back for the next day. Looks to me like everyone gets the call back. You go back the next day and that is when they try to get money from you. They say they are putting on a showcase and there will be many reps from different talent agencies at this showcase. They make the kid do another little "audition" they ask them to say their lines and do a little of whatever the kids talent may be. they then say OK I have to go talk to the owner. You sit there and wait while obviously this person is not talking to the owners they are hitting the people at the other tables in the room. They come back to you and tell this little 6 year old kid you are awesome and we want you in our showcase. The kids face lights up with happiness. Then comes the sales pitch. for your child to be in this show case you have to pay $495.00 per talent or you can pay $2900 and get a package deal this will include your child in the LA showcase as well but if you read the fine print you will again have to pay per talent. So if you do not pay them to bad for you are out. Do not give these people money. It is a total scam and all they do is hope that you as a good parent can’t say no when your child is crying because they pumped this kid up and then you are the bad guy in your kids eyes when you refuse to pay. these people are scum and should not be allowed to do things this way. How can they advertise as an audition for a TV commercial when clearly this is not an audition at all. This is just a total scam STAY AWAY from these people.

Just came back  from my "audition callback" and as the first user said, it's a scam. Don't believe them lol. Their 'free' option is if you're experienced only, but I'm a very experienced actor and they still said I must pick the paid options. Not sure how many people will read this but I just want whoever happens to browse onto this to not trust these people and don't get your hopes up like I did. They are fake and literal scum on the earth.

There are some people who misunderstand the services we provide and don’t do their research fully.  NEXT is very direct with the services we provide and most answers to any questions could be found on our FAQ page listed our website at: http://www.areyounext.tv/faq.html

Next Star Productions, Inc. has NEVER advertised that we are holding auditions for TV commercials. Next is one of the nations most reputable and respected talent showcase were we promote, develop and showcase new talent to the Nations best SAG franchised Agencies.  Those Agencies are listed on our website and all of them will attest that they attend NEXT Showcases and find GREAT talent to represent!  http://www.areyounext.tv/about-1.html

NEXT believes in Quality, NOT Quantity.  Everyone does not receive a callback and our Regional Showcases are always 100 performers or less, which in return gives our performers a high success rate.  The person filing this report is from the Chicago area and didn't have the chance to go through our program.  There were a total of 43 performers in our Chicago Showcase and 35% of our performers received an Agent callback.  A huge success!  NEXT performers are ready to showcase and ready for Agent representation!

Those that do not have the training and experience, will need to go through our training before we could showcase their talent in front of SAG Franchised Agencies.  The minimal fee will range from $130-$150 per session.  Very reasonable.  For those that already have extensive training, there is NO COST, NO FEE to attend the meet and greet session at a Regional Showcase.

While this site encourages and even requires authors to only file truthful reports, this site does not guarantee that all reports are authentic or accurate.  In this case, the information is false.  Be an educated consumer. Read what you can and make your decision based upon an examination of all available information.  It is disheartening when harsh words are used, especially towards a well respected and reputable company as NEXT.
