I purchased a 1997 Ford F150 from Nicks Auto Sales in mid April, along with an extended warrenty. The day after I made this purchase, the check engine light came on. Since I work 2 jobs and go to school, I asked my boyfriend to take it to them so they can look at it. They looked at it and said the light is not going on and that the O-2 sensor might be bad, but if it comes back on, to bring it in and they will replace it. Later on that day, the light did come back on. So he went back the next day and was told that no one was there to look at it and to come back tomorrow. He went back the next day again and was told the same thing. Finally on the third day, they told him that he would have to leave the truck for a few days for them to work on it. Since my boyfriend uses the truck for work, and they assured him it was just a bad sensor, he decided not to leave it.

Almost 2 monthes later the truck started making funny noises. So, again my boyfriend brought the truck to Nicks Auto Sales for them to look at it, but he went to the location closer to our home. They said that they will fix the truck and forward the information to the warrenty company for us. But the next day, we recieve a phone call from them saying that the warrenty was never put though and they already fixed the air conditioner so we owed them $150. They said for us to go back to where we bought the truck and have them back date our warrenty. But when my boyfriend went back to dealership we purchased the truck at, they refused to do anything. Nick argued with my boyfriend until finally he just gave him the $180 back that we paid for the warrenty. That does not pay for the battery or the starter that I have had to replace, and they were covered in the warrenty!!! My boyfriend has gone back to him afterwards to try to get Nick to do the right thing and fix the truck since it was his companies error, but Nicks response was "I'll see you in court."

If this was a good company, they would own up for their mistakes and not make customers pay for them. Not only has this cost me money by replacing the parts for the truck, but I purchased the truck for my boyfriend to use for work. Since its been broken down, he has missed out on several jobs that could have given us almost six thousand dollars. With him not working I have had to take time off from school and get more hours from the 2 jobs I already work. If this company took responsibility for their mistakes, I would have been a satisfied customer. But I have found out through a friend who is a paralegal that they have been sued 25 times because of warrenty related issues. This tells me that no one should do business with them or they will be ripped off too.
