Night Star Towing towed my car-it was in an accident & unsalvagable, bent frame, bent axile, ect. It was an eye soar in my drive way and they said they would tow it for free and strip it for parts.
I was served papers 3 months later, being sued for $3,500. for selling this vehicle to a woman who could not get this vehicle smogged or registered. She took it to an auto dealer and they told her this car was unsafe and had been glued together.
I had to take the day off to go to court to prove my innocence. The lady dropped the case, after we went over our paperwork and pictures with the mediator. Luckily, I registered the car as non operable, before I got rid of it. Night Star Towing-Albert had a third person party make a phony ID in my name and pretend to be me selling the vehicle to this lady. He also had forged my name and writting on the transfer document from DMV. Obviously never transferring the vehicle in his name.
We approached Albert at Night Star Towing- which took us hours of cat & mouse with him lying saying that he was not Albert the owner. To take out the rest of the detail of the story...The Scam is- they pick up the car-glue it back together-fill out a transfer paper to Dave's Auto in Huntington Beach for their file- but never turn it into DMV. They take your identity and get a third party to pretend they are you and sell this car to the next trusting person out there. Beware when selling & buying cars. It is so sad how people rip off people and can sleep at night!!! What a way to earn a living.
