I played 2 sets of numbers for pick 3 str/box for evening on Aug 18, 2018. The winning number was 418. I played 831. If box is for any order but the same numbers with the fireball. I went to cash the ticket thinking I won but was told it wasnt a winner. I also rechecked with the NJ Lottery ticket scanner. Indeed it said this is not a winning ticket. This is fraud and false advertising saying box counts in any way combination but clearly is a lie. I have to try contacting someone at NJ Lottery tomorrow to voice my complaint.

Yes I would be interested the lottery isn't honest and fair like it used to be before it changed from public sector to private under Christie.

To the person who posted about fireball I would love to hear from you. The fireball game is highly deceptive. I have played and "won" on numerous occasions only to be told sorry you are not a winner. After doing my homework and watching the nj lottery fireball video and saving it just in case I decided this was just another scam to get us to bite at a to good to be true game. I have since been contacted by 323 others who have also felt deceived by nj lottery. I am moving forward to pursue a class action lawsuit to expose their misleading claims. Contact me if interested. I am working very hard to stop their deceptive practices. I had no idea how many people had gone through the same thing until I posted a story and now its becoming. A dire need for me to move forward. Power in numbers as long as there is no fire

From what I looked at their rules -- https://njs-cdn.lotteryservices.com/content/dam/portal/pdfs/drawgames/PICK-3_PICK-4_FIREBALL_ODDSandPRIZES_INFO.pdf -- you must first know what the fireball number is. Then use the number to replace in one of the 3-number you have.
In this case, you said that the winning number is 418 and you picked 831. Is the fireball number 3? If it is, then you should be a winner. However, if it is not, then you are not a winner according to their rules.
