North American Gaming Commission Taking Advantage In These Hard Times...It's an OUTRAGE! Yonkers New York
My father, fallen on hard times and not able to make ends meet, called me with the info about this letter from North American Gaming Commission stating that he should call this claims agent immediately to claim $362,000.00 of unclaimed prize money. He was sent a check for $4,899.00 that he was to deposit for the cost of processing fees. The letter was signed by Raymond Pierce. My father did call this claims agent, Mr. Howard Langly and he asked my father to wire him $3,800 for taxes and fees so that he could process his winnings. I told my father not to do anything more and definately not to send any money! I wanted to check this out first! I was disappointed to find out that my father had called the Better Business Bureau, our local SRDA fraud unit, even the DA's office and no one could help find out anything about this letter or it's authenticity. I told my father I would see what I could find out.
I promptly got on my computer and googled North American Gaming Comission. There it was! Someone elses letter, word for word the same letter my father recieved! A Scam! A fraud! My father was so excited, thinking his troubles would all be gone. When in fact, he was about to give the last of his savings to collect nothing! Something more needs to be done to protect our seniors! Thank God for Google and Ripoff Report!!
