North American Power claims to be a multi-million dollar company, now I know why - they are RIPPING off people!!!!  So disgusted with this company - DO NOT USE THEM or think of signing on with them.  I tried to renew, outrageous rate, then they promised me a refund check of $126.00 since my electrical company rates went up 300%!  Once you sign on with them, you must renew before the contract is up, but even if you try to contact the customer care agents - they make it hell for you to reach them, so the expiration date passes, then rates go up even more.  Unfortunately, whatever electrical power you have - they require a 30 day cancelleation period of North American Power rates (which are 400% higher for one month)!!!  This company is a scam company at best. Do not even contact them to find out rates.  Now, I am still struggling to get my refund check - since then all this has happened:

I called on January 11th renewed my plan so I could avoid a few hundred dollar increase, requested a refund check, customer care said I would receive in about 30 - 45 days.
I called on February 20th to see where the refund check was, customer care said that it was still processing, forgotten - Really!!!!
I called on March 4th to see where the refund check was, customer care said that it would be another 3 weeks before processing!!!
I called on March 16th, DISGUSTED!!  Refund check still in processing!!!
I waited on the phone for 42 minutes for a manager - no one ever came on, instead someone answered, then he/she hung up.
I called back, the first person hung up.
I called back, still on hold for over 216 minutes waiting for a manager.
I called from another line hoping to get a customer care agent, I was told that Leslie (Manager) - in which you guys must have hired her from McDonald's or Walmart since she instant messaged the agent to tell me that it be Friday before she could call me back on my cell.  I told the agent to mark that I would not be pleasant to speak with at all.  
 
In the meantine, I am trying to cancel this service, which is a feat in itself - I literally cannot get anyone of the phone to cancel!  
 
So, they are making their billions by avoiding customers, not answering phone calls and lying through their teeth.
 
I hope others read this and their business comes to a halt or better yet goes out of business.
