North American Telephone Network unauthorized charge of $140 to my account. Was signed up for 1000 free minutes, and a $10 amonth charge after my free minutes were used up. Atlanta Georgia
I was called and offered 1000 free minutes for a $10.95 sign up fee.
After the 1000 free minutes were used up I'd be billed $10.00 a month for a .05 cents per minute plan. I was also offered a free one month trial of two magazines - no risk obligation.
Approximately 45 days after this contact, my bank account was billed $140.38! After waiting on hold and finally getting a real person when I asked what the charges were and put on hold I was disconnected- not once but twice!
When I finally got a real person for the third time, I was told the charges were for the two magazines. I said I was offered a month free no obligation, and had never even received any magazine! Now as I'm being put on hold again I'm told I'll receive a credit of $127.88. I said no it's $140.38, the man says no your first months premium is also being deducted.
I told him no my minutes aren't used up, he's telling me it doesn't matter the minutes had to be used in 30 days. I said no that's not what I was told, I was told after the minutes were used then I'd be billed a monthly payment. He is very rude, will not give me his name.
I've told him I will foregoe the remaining 600+ minutes to disconnect me and I want all my refund. I've been put on hold again, now he finally tells me his name is Cody. He says he's submitted it and it'll be refunded.
I've asked how long it will take, he says he put a rush on it. I asked again, what is the refund time, as soon as they can I'm sure is his reply. I said that doesn't tell me anything, how long will it take on a rush. He finally says 7-10 days; I've told him that's unacceptable and I want it with in 24 hours as it's an unauthorized transaction, and I'm going to the bank to fill out a fruadlent transaction report.
He says ok it's been noted. This is ridiculous that they can take out money unauthorized, and it takes forever to get it back. I have four children and that is my grocery money! Do these companies care? Hell no, how can these people conciously work for unscrupulous companies.
