Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was driving through Dallas, TX a year ago and was on recently billed for what I thought was a joke. Upon closer inspection, I realized I was being billed by the NTTA for being on a toll lane, apparently, without even knowing I was on a toll lane, or even on a roll road! I had a passenger with me on this trip from VA to Grapevine, TX, who did part of the driving. She, too, does not recall having any knowledge of being on a toll road. To be clear, I'm not denying that we somehow managed to be in the wrong lane on the wrong road. What I will say is that had there been adequate notice from the roads signs, we would have had the opportunity to avoid the toll lane, or even the toll road. Neither of us ever knew we were on a toll lane.

It is my believe and accertion that the NTTA has put up tollway signage through Dallas that is purposely decietful and dishonest. This is especially true for people who may be traveling from out of state and are not familiar with the tollway. Shame on you, NTTA, and shame on the state of Texas for this dishonest and shamefull effort to steal money from unsuspecting travelers.

In every other state and on every other tollway I've ever driven, there are large, unavoidable signs alerting the driver that they are approaching a toll road. We have all seen the signs... LAST EXIT BEFORE TOLL ROAD... right? And, now, it seems there are lanes on the same road that are tolled and lanes that aren't. But, the driver unfamiliar with the road may not understand the system and find themselves accidentally in the wrong lane to avoid the toll.

I came home the same way I went to Grapevine. But, I didn't get tolled for the return trip. I have no idea what the hell happened. I just followed my GPS navigator directions. No doubt, the NTTA has studied these GPS maps and cleverly designed a method for routing unsuspecting travelers in a way that provides the NTTA a change to tax them for not knowing the trap they were lured into.

F*ck you, NTTA

Maybe pay attention next time and review the maps and proposed route prior to your trip?  Yes, if you just blindly follow GPS instructions you will often end up on toll roads.  I guess you don't do much traveling because there are toll roads all over the country and very few of them have huge signs.
