I cruised with Norwegian 4 times in 4 years and was treated very badly by Norwegian when I was asked to leave a ship in Costa Rica (mid-cruise) because my travelling companion was sick. She was a travel comanion, a friend that I just decided to travel with because she had never cruised. She was under the impression that her medicare would cover her insurance (did not). I would of course never left her stranded alone in Costa Rica but was never give the choice of staying for the remainder of cruise. Cost of hospitalization and return airfare from Costa Rica was 12,000 plus.

I was not compensated for expenses to get home or the lost 7 days of my cruise. I believe that it would of been appropriate of NCL to provide a credit or discounted cruise for the 7 days that I missed. I had trip interuption and medica insurance from private company but could not get reimbursed because I was not the one who was ill (Norwegian did not give me a choice about being disembarked I csnnot bring myself to cruise with Norwegian again or recommend them to anyone.
