Novel Concepts Sam Beck Ripoff, Bait and Switch, Vending, Scam Artist Dallas Texas
My husband and I contacted Sam Beck with Novel Concepts Inc. after seeing an ad for a vending route placed in the Star Telegram. Mr. Beck told us that he would be able to place machines for us and they would be very profitable. I thought it sounded too good to be true but we decided to go for it. Sam called us and said he had a 24/7 soda/snack account near us starting almost immediately. Well, over six weeks later Sam did the bait and switch on us. He tried to sell us an account miles away from the area we agreed on, not telling us that this was not the location we had been promised.
Finally he placed the machines at a location closer to us but not as desirable. He sold us a 'new' 24/7 location with over 80 full time employees. What we got was a 9-4 Monday-Friday location with 40 employees. This wasn't even a 'new' location. This was an account that someone else didn't want. He also told us we would be getting machines that had just been refurbished. That is not what we got. We got machines that had been in this location for a while that don't always work correctly. We too heard the song and dance about being a God-fearing man from Sam Beck. He is a scam artist intent on taking your money and not following through on promises. Do not do business with Sam Beck and/or Novel Concepts.
