My wife and I live in a small home in Pleasant Grove. We had problems with our water softener and needed to get a replacement so we contacted Lowes. I picked out another one and they contacted an installer (american plumbing services. He came out to install it and told us there wasn't room for it. Next he told me that hehad a new type of water softner and it would fit right in.He installed what he called a water softner (nuvoh2o), it looked like a great and simple machine. Everything seemed toobe working but the water was neber soft. I called several times and received an occasiional contact from APS, then finally one day they came out and offered to replace the nuvo with a salt water system for $2355.00.I told him that wasn't even reasonable. Now I just want my moneh back. I will find me another softner system and not get gouged by them.

I finally decided to have the water tested of three occasions by BJ Consultants.  It showed that our water had a hardness of 33 and after I replaced the filter on the nuvo it went down to 32. The hardness of water is usually between 1 and 10.  The city water people have told us tshat we areon a well system that has a hardness of 27. Our neighbor let me test his water whick is on a salt process and his was 1 (one) not too good for nuvo. It is a gross misrepentation to say it is a water softner.

I am so dissapointed in mydealings with them - I feel it is false advertising and I want my money back.

I have attached some photos of various locations where the hard water has deposited. THIS IS NOT SOFT WATER!!!
