NVMS NVMS be careful
NVMS ripped me off too. Fortunately I read about their "NO PAYMENT POLICY" so I did not do many assignments. I have a plan to get even which will result in fines. When I have the time I will report them to the appropriate government agencies. I did an investigation on their company and in many states, counties and cities they are required to have a collection agency license and the annual fee is approximately 500 dollars.
I will report them to the proper government agencies because I already verified that they do not have the necessary license. Even though they are contracting agents to deliver a collection letter they must have a collection agency license. It is the law. They also diect their agents to deliver the letter for some of their assignments at a certain time. Usually after 5 PM.
If they hire you as an independent contractor then they have to pay for workmens compensation and withold taxes from your check. They can be reported to workmens compensation in every state. The fines are in the thousands of dollars. When I have the time I will be a whistle blower and report them. I recommend everybdy reports them to teach them not to rip off their agents.
