NY Dance Faktory ABANDONED PREGNANT BOSS TO OPEN OWN STUDIO DOWN THE STREET!! Cortlandt Manor New York
Cindy Hadjidion of NY Dance Faktory was fired from her last studio in the middle of the 2011-2012 school year. We had a friendly working relationship with her and decided to open some classes at our studio for her.
A year and a half later, she announces out of the blue (mid year) that she will be leaving to open her own studio but not to worry because she will wait until September to open and that it will be at least 7 miles away (far enough to not be our competition).
Lo and behold, with three weeks to our recital she quits and opens her studio (it's the beginning of June). The studio happens to be 1.62 miles away. Far, far less than the promised 7 miles of distance between us.
She has openly solicited students online as well as at our own studio. She has also lied multiple times to us about her technique and experience level. All year she was using incorrect terminology and taught such poor technique that the students suffered more injury this past year than any other year. I have had 1 injury in all of the classes this year combined. She has had multiple injuries in each class over the past year all because she claims to know proper technique when she refers to technical elements with euphemistic expressions like "spin" instead of pirouette.
Her new studio looks suspiciously like ours.. the names are even similar.
Oh, her (now former) boss announced she was pregnant and Cindy announces her plans to open her own studio within the same school year the following day. The (now former) boss just had her baby a few weeks ago so Cindy consciously screwed over her very pregnant boss in the process of all this.
STUDENTS: BEWARE!! She will leave you in the middle of the year and abandon you through your dance education if she finds a better opportunity for herself.
PARENTS AND FUTURE EMPLOYEES: This is entirely unconfirmed but we had a substantial theft problem at the studio that suspiciously stopped when she quit. I have had $250 taken out of my purse as well as diamond earrings (that a student told me she saw Cindy wearing on a day I don't come in to the studio!)
I also believe that Cindy Hadjidion of NY Dance Faktory may be suffering from an undiagnosed mental illness or personality disorder. It's truly embarrassing being able to say I know this woman. I wouldn't let my children near her, you shouldn't either.

I am a dance instructor at the NYDF now and I also worked at the studio that whoever wrote this is from as well, that's how I met Cindy and let me just say Cindy has created a wonderful atmosphere for students and teachers at her studio. Cindy is very inspiring and reaches out to her students with love and knowledge. It's understandable someone would be upset with Cindy and write a page of nonsense about her because she obviously has a gift that they don't have. Some teacher's can't gain a strong connection with their students and/or give them the knowledge that Cindy has worked hard for to obtain. Cindy is the most honest, loyal and awesome boss I have ever had and working at her studio I have gained a lot of dance and choreography insight. Being apart of the NYDF is something I am strongly proud of! There is no drama and everyone talks to each other like family. Cindy, thank you from the bottom of my heart for creating a studio for everyone to feel inspired and loved. I swear I am never leaving this studio <3

I am the owner of the studio Cindy was working for. The information given about Cindy and NYDF in this review is false.
Cindy is a wonderful dance teacher with years of expierience. She was a very dedicated employee and I am sad to see her leave. I wish her nothing but the best with her new studio.
Please do not believe the awful lies made up by this one person.
