OAN Services - USA Voicemail 8 Different Phone Numbers ripoff scam scamming country wide Clearwater Florida
I am in Central Texas, and I received like many of you out there bills on my local phone carriers from AON Services, Inc. After doing a little research I have found over 7 phone numbers that all apparently go into the same place. All of which make themselves unavailable for most of the day. They say on their recording that they are available from 9am to 4:50 pm Eastern time. (most of the recordings say that anyway)
I was charged $12.95 plus taxes for a total of $14.15. I disputed this with my local carrier. Even they said that I would have to have things resolved with OAN even though there is a dispute on my phone bill. P.S. disputes only last for 90 days. My advice is to redispute anything that shows up every 30 days.
After only about 15 minutes online, I have discovered this to be a real problem out there. I am truly outraged at all the scams this one company has going on across the country. How are they even getting our information and why are our local companies even allowing this to happen? Some carriers you can request that any company that tries to bill your account had to have a password or a pin#, if this is possible with your company, DO IT! this can prevent anything like this from happening again.
But I say lets get together and bring it to the public's attention. Any suggestions, I'm open to it.
I'll let everyone know how this "dispute" goes.
