Oasis Travel ripoff, 11 day dream vacation a hoax Orlando Florida
Someone called today by the name of Shevon Parmer. She said I entered a drawing on Jan. 17 in Phoenix. It was so long ago I figured I might have, and thought it was a time-share call. She reassured me that it was just a travel agency that wanted to get some word of mouth advertising and I was one of 50 second place winners to win a trip to Florida/Bahamas. I only needed to pay the $319 tax fee. They even let me choose what day to post the payment (I choose Aug 10).
I told her I have more children and would want to take my family. She said that I would have to pay, at a discounted rate, for any more than 4 people, but that would all be in my package I would receive in 3 weeks.
I have been dreaming of going out of town for Christmas, so when she said no black out dates I got excited, gulliable as I am. The prize was worth $2419, and included swimming with dolphins, horse back riding and spa treatments.
I called my husband, gave all the info, then came on line to check it out. Surprise surprise, only rip off and scam sites know anything about Oasis Travel. So, I have reported it to my CC company, I am getting a new card. I will also dispute anything they try and charge to my account. They said they would record my payment info, that it was required my the government to do so. I just hope anyone else out there that gets this call will be sure and look into it.
I want to say that it is legit, but I just don't think it is, so I want to warn everyone about it if possible.
