Ocwen Federal Bank FSB ripoff/aggressive collections??? ripoff business from hell West Palm Beach Florida
Ocwen is the worst sort of financial organization I have ever had the "pleasure" of dealing with.
Where should I begin:
I have contacted the Office of Thrift Services in New Jersey who governs this "bank" and explained the following to which they in turn have corresponded with Ocwen and is still waiting for a reply:
1. extremely overly agressive collection "tactics".They call with a recorded announcement at all hours of the day including Sundays!!Knowing the federal and state collection laws, they fall just within the parameters allowed. JUST!!
2. Not one of their customer service reps have ever made a notation on my record that I have called and what transpired.
3. I wrote them a letter advising them not to call at either our home or employment which by law they must oblige, but they continue to call completely ignoring my request.
4. They have been assessing us a monthly escrow payment(homeowners insurance)which we have paid on our own. When told to stop assessing it, I am told it will take months to verify, send the declaration page of our homeowners insurance policy and it will be reviewed. We have complied with their request on 4 different occassions but they continue to assess the escrow payment.
We are now with their "legal department" with a Barbara Silver.
We are trying very hard to make our payments but now they are beginning to return them to us because they are just for one month and we are several months past due and they will not accept anything but the total due.
I am on social security disability since January 2002 but for nine months had only my wifes income. This is why we fell behind, yet the wonderful Ocwen will not work with me so we can keep our home.
The irony (if there is any) is my wife and I had no say in whether Ocwen held our mortgage as it was sold to them by Delta Funding!!!
Is there anyone that can help us, if so please reply......
