I missed one house payment in December of 2000, and was put on a program to "catch" it up. During the following year, I had one instance where I could only pay A portion of the payment. They began calling me each and every day demanding that I pay them. During the entire year of 2001, that was the only payment that was "short". Beginning this year, they claimed that I owed them THREE payments. Upon asking them to look into my payment record, and comparing their figures to the PROOF I had, they did NOT change their demands, even after I showed them that I had made all my payments. A difference of over $2000 between their figures and mine. Yet, they are STILL demanding more money, and now it is up to $6,000!

I tried to make a payment last month by Western Union, and they refused it saying that I owed them THREE payments.

Their record keeping is very screwed up.

Foreclosure attempt

#20

Wed, July 10, 2002

While in an effort to reach some sort of agreement on how much we owed Ocwen, we worked with their legal department - "Moss, Cadilus, etc". At the same time, we were given notice of forclosure, and that we had one week before our home was to be repossessed and sold at auction. Because of this, I had to take out another, personal loan, to pay them what they SAID we owed them. We were bullied, threatened, and very nearly lost our home primarily due to miscommunication within their company. We never knew who to talk to, or who to believe, or exactly how much we REALLY owed them. I felt I had no choice byt to pay them what they insisted we owed them, even though they had not proven to me that the amount thesaid we owed was, in fact, the correct amount. We were within one week of the forclosure when I was able to find someone who would/could lend me the money that Ocwen said that we owqed them. I felt as if I was talking to the IRS. A constant stream of threats, letters of "Intent", etc. To this day I do not believe that the money I paid them was the true amount, but I that I had no other way to prove that it wasn't. Having spoken to several different persons in their collection department, I was told on several occations that we were caught up with our payments, and that we owed them for the current month, according to the person, and that was all. They lied.

We were one month behind and were told to pay a payment and a half the next two months to be current. After doing what we were told to do we called in the next months payment and were told they were starting forclosure because we are three months behind. All the money we had sent in went for fees and not our payment. Today within 30 minutes and talking to two people one a supervisor we wnt from being on time to oweing the Feb. payment and 900.00 late fees. Anyone who is starting a class action lawsuit please contact us... By the way how do we get in contact with others who are requesting our information?
