"Just Another Ocwen Victim" It's been three long years now, since I first heard about Ocwen... and I still hear that same nightmare story again and again. Yet nothing is ever done! Melissa, you are very credible in the way you present your complaint here. Since, your AG's office was even willing to listen to your story, I'd pressure them as much as possible to do the right thing and file crimmal charges! Believe me you don't want to get sucked into the typical Class Action Suit, where you will just get burnt again. I'm surprised they didn't distroy you credit history, as usual to prevent you from refinancing. My opinion as usual

Get a Lawyer, infact get 2! Ocwen has my mortgage also and I know exactly what you are dealing with. Good luck with getting a payoff, I haven't been able to get one for almost 4 months now. Anyway, good look and please keep us posted.

Melissa, Did you see all of the other horror stories here on Rip Off Report on Ocwen? You should, as it is some good reading. The best thing to do as soon as you have any problem is to stay off the phone, and do everything in writing by certified mail, return reciept requested. Put the certified# on the letter itself and keep a copy for your records. This procedure is very important. Your original lender is equally at fault as they were to immediately notify you of a sale of your loan, and they are responsible to accurately transfer all escrows, etc to the new buyer. And, you have a 30 day period to accept or reject who purchased your loan, and refinance without penalty. You have the legal right to determine who you deal with. You can get a front and back copy of the checks you wrote from your bank. I would do this now, back to the payment one month prior to the sale. There are several government agencies you can report this behavior to, and I suggest you do it. Also seek one of those consumer advocates at your local TV station. Good luck.
