Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have an ARM that has adjusted twice and is currently at 9.86% (Started at 6.86%). I have tried to negotiate to refi or lock in the interest rate, but they are unable to work with people, give false information, and seem eager to foreclose. I attempted to refinance, got transfered to Countrywide were I was offered a 12.75% fixed interest rate, 3 points, and roughly $6k in closing costs. If a person is struggling at the current rate, it makes no sense to offer a higher rate and payment.

I then attempted to convince them it was in their and my best interest to convert to a fixed rate loan. I was told by one of their "offshore" workers to type up a proposition and fax it to them, and was given an 800#. I faxed a proposal to them and heard nothing. 10 days later, I was contacted by Ocwen, when I advised them what I was instructed to do, they said the 800# I was given was a customer service #, not a fax. The (offshore) worker told me she would mail something to me to fill out, a hardship letter, and that I should receive it in 7-10 days.

That was 30 days ago, and I have received nothing but collection letters. I was also advised by one of their offshore workers that Ocwen begins the foreclosure process when a loan becomes 60 days delinquent.

Since Ocwen is so dishonest, I refuse to speak with there collections or servicing areas. They also violate the FDCPA by calling people at work, even after being advised that personal calls at work are not allowed. They call from 3 different phone numbers to home, on average 7-10 times per day.

I would be more than willing to join any class action lawsuit against Ocwen.
