I too am a victim of Ocwen. If it had been for this site I would not have found out that Ocwen had paid my taxes late and was charged penalities, etc. Now, that was back when THEY were paying the taxes. I PAY MY OWN TAXES NOW.

By me paying my own taxes now, I know that they get paid and ON TIME for that fact.

When I found out about OCWEN paying my taxes late and were charged penalities, I contacted my local tax office and got a receipt for the taxes paid. On that receipt was Ocwen's check number. With that, I was able to get the penalities refunded to me because in order to pay the taxes direct, the escrow had to be cleared out, meaning, no balance. Yes, I had to pay some cash of which to the jackasses over a month to post because they lost the check. Bottom line, I got my refund and for the amount of the penalty.

Each month I have to strictly monitor my account. I don't know what they will pull next. The stress and aggrevation of the unknown is terrible. Because I know, if for one moment that I let it go for a month, then I too will be behind the eight ball again.

I have one saving grace in dealing with OCWEN. That is I have never signed an agreement of any type with them. They have never even so much sent me a forebearance agreement either even though I am in my third year, but I do pay my contractual amount. I don't even have anything from HUD. Isn't there someone who could hack into their system and make all the loans that they have screwed up disappear. That would be such a godsend, to have their entire system fail and to have them prove what we all know is totally incorrect to the Fair Trade Commission, the Fed's whomever.

I guess what I really want to say is this. If any of you can clear up your escrow, then do it. Pay all your taxes your self and your homeowners insurance. That way, you know it will get done. What's the old saying? If you want something done right, do it yourself???? How true is this, especially in dealing with these idiots?
