5 months ago i went to office max in merced,CA they had all the rebates for their current sale laid out on a large table, just in front of the entrance door. I thought great this is to easy, got my items, got my reciepts, filled out all the forms at home, submitted them, and soon recieved and email that 2 of the items had errors.

They said the item upc codes and the reciept did not match up, or was the wrong item. I resubmitted all the info as they requested, and one item was resolved. (keep in mind though It took 4 months to get that check). I went to their site and it still showed errors on the other item. so i filled out the online form submitted it and never got a response.

So today i again went to their site filled out form this time not so nicely (after all its been over 5 months since i bought this item, a remote control from rca that actually i did not even need but heck i thought its free and could come in handy in the future, which by the way a week after buying it i stepped on my tv remote so the new one did come in handy LOL).

The point is if I would not have kept track of all my rebates chances are this very well could just be swept under the carpet by the company. after all i sent 7 that day I luckly copied each one and through them away when i recieve their checks. I am sure many people forget what rebates they even sent after all these months. I kept track only because a friend warned me that office max had done her wrong in the past and I should watch them. Looks like maybe she's right or is it just a

coincedence.

I do know this they have not responded to the last claim form I sent upon their request or the customer service form I filled out on their website. On the new customer service form which I just did again I told them if they dont at least respond by phone or email in a week i will report them to the Better Business Bureau and complain to every office max manager, supervisor, customer service personnel, ect...I can. I promise they will get sick of hearing from me because I refuse to let this go. Its only 10 dollars but its my 10 dollars.

Oh yea i even kept the add with the picture of the item. So I know it is the right item, beyond a doubt.....

I maybe should have waited to see if they responded to my new submission, but i thought NO this is riduculous even if i do get it look what they forced me to do to get it, most people i think would have said screw the 10 dollars, it aint worth it, but not me. I will not quit.
