Old republic home warranty company Scam and Ripoff Company BEWARE!!!! San Ramon, California Humble Texas
I was a loyal customer of Old Republic, we purchased a home warranty from them in late 2015, we purchased the platinum package and added on additional coverage for a pool and a few other things the total came to around $750 for the year, we were pleased with their service we had to use the warranty a couple of time for issues within the covered policy, we received our renewal letter recently and the coverage has gone up close to $1100 per year a $400 increase, when I called them they said oh well sorry our prices have gone up, who increase prices by $400 in one year, inflation doesn't even increase by that much, well I am sorry too, after contacting the BBB and looking at the top 10 rated home warranty companies, of which Old Republic was not listed in that group, I got some quotes from Choice home warranty and Select Home Warranty the top two and applied for the same top platinum programs and added our pool and also added roof leak service plus additional a/c and heating units, of which Old Republic did not cover, and the prices were $800 for Choice and $725 for Select. Well I don't know what kind of scam Old Republic is trying to pull but their pricing is nowhere close to the competitors, do yourself a favor and choose one of the top 10 rated companies listed by the BBB, their pricing is cheaper and more fair than Old Republic. BEWARE!!!!
