On 3/16/15 I took boxes and other seperate items to this Auction House to be auctioned off. It included some early Elvis items including a 11 piece set of 1st day issue of his stamp (large wooden clock, large throw, pillow, stamps (3 sheets), shirt & more, large 24 x 36 painting, phone with him on it singing (oringinal working), train phone (old), Large 36 x 48 painting of the California coastline by noted California artist, 31 Porcelain Dolls and  3 other types (none less than 35 years old and most older) with at least 20 musical and everyone with a metal doll stand included. 20 were in the original boxes with hand tags, certificates of authenticity and some still had protective wrapping on heads and hands. Old glassware, (including a lady head vase) and crockery were in this, Albums of Elvis, Newspaper from day of his death, luggage and much more (well over 150 pieces). These items would have sold online in the thousands of dollars. I recieved only $165 after they took their cut of 25%.

First of all I was told they market everything and advertise in many places. None of my items were ever advertised or marketed in anyway. I was told when they auction they have bidders from all over the country and the world who call in the bids or bid from the internet. Still have not found this to be true as there is no connection to do this. My items were taken there on 3/16/15. I decided at that time just to put these few things in and keep back the most expensive and older antiques until I found out what there service offered. I am so glad I did! Totally ripped off with this sale. Items were put in storage and only after many phone calls did I manage to get them to put them into an actual auction on 5/9/15 almost two months later.

Not once was I ever told in the beginning and even later for a time that this is how they did things. The woman who took most of the calls was rude, unprofessional and basically said that the items I brought there were not much more than junk. She told me I would just have to wait until they got to them as they had more important things to sell. When I finally got hold of Mr. Sprigle he assured me that was not how they did things, apoligized and told me it would all be in the next sale which it was on May 9th. Then it was sold for less than 1/10 of the value of any of it and the rest was given away without even asking me how I wanted it taken care of.

These people do not know anything about the value of what they are selling. They sell things in box lots just to get rid of them and they allow things to go for much less than they should be sold for and do a disservice to their customer by doing so. The only thing they are interested in selling, advertise for or work with to sell are houses, cars and easily recognized antiques that they can get more money out of and they do not do all that well at that either. Do Not Take your things to these people to sell. You would get more at a yard sale. There are other Auction Houses in the area who are much more reputable, treat their sellers with respect and treat their merchandise equally such as in Thomasville and other towns nearby.

Biggest mistake of my life to have gone to these people but I will now take the big money items to someone who is reputable!

As the owner of Olde Tyme Auctions it should be known we work hard at offering a good service. With thousands of satisfied customers and buyers. And as a Christian honesty is the foundation for my business. We have taken on jobs that we knew would not make any profit but did it anyway.because that person needed help. I also give back to the community in many ways. It is unfortunate that people buy collectibles in hopes of a increase in value. The people that profit are the companies selling them. This individual has no right to slander me or my company. But the internet makes.it easy to do so. Her items would have achieved the same price or less anywhere she would have sold them !!! I have on average 300-600 people at my auctions . we conduct e-mail and telephone bids all the time. The buyers set market value on items and they paid what her pieces were worth. Sincerly Chris
