Oliver Page grant scam washington dc
I was contacted by someone named Oliver Pagge on February 3, 2017. I was told that I had won a $9.000 grant. In order to collect this I had to buy $250 worth of itunes cards. After doing this I was then told I had to buy another $600 of itunes card in order to pay for the transfer from one bank to another and to pay the income tax or as he finally put it after I told him I did not pay income tax - sales tax.
After waiting all weekend without anything showing up. I was contacted on Monday and told I would have to buy another $900 in additional cards because of the FTC and had to sign a non disclosure statement for them. I told him I was not going to spend any more money especailly since he already took everything that I had and I hung up on him. He continued to call me for two days at least up to this point it is two days.
What I do not understand is why itunes? I asked him and he never gave me an explanation. I do not see what he gets out of this since as far as I know itunes belongs to Apple Computers. Since I had been online looking for grants I thought this was real but I should have been suspicious when I had to spned money in order to get it since I know that no purchase is required no any taxes paid on them.
I guess when he gave me the numbers for western Union I thought that it was good. But when he told me it was too late for me to get anything from Western Union and wanted my debit card that should have told me something was wrong
