Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On April 2, 2008, I was contacted by OSCS (on-site computer services) to work on some LCD screens in a casino in Las Vegas. I had never worked for this company before and asked their rep to send me some documents on the comnpany and they did so. I figured, "Its the Luxor, they wouldn't rip me off!!" I completed the job without any problems. I also purchased parts needed out of pocket. A month went by and once again I was asked to fix some problems at the casino, and was ASSURED that there was a check in the mail. Unfortunately, I was unavailable as I was out of town, but when I returned, I received 3 emails stating that OSCS said I was supposed to report to fix some LCDs and I never showed!!!

I contacted the Contractor and we worked it out and all was well, but then I was informed that OSCS billed the Luxor for 10 hours @$90 an hour and when the invoice bounced back, OSCS claimed that I billed them. Fortuately, I had been in constant contact with the company the hired OSCS all along and they knew it was BS!! But Because OSCS was caught red-handed making out false work orders, Steve T. told me that because they werent getting paid for the fake invoices, I wasnt getting paid at ALL!! What a turd!

Are you kidding me???  Is this what this site has come to, a site that reports someone from CL who didn't make it to purchase a sofa from me in time.  Yeah someone else came and bought it before this guy did.  I must be some horrible person.  Brandon, seriously....  Get a life.  I am sure your kids are fine, I am sure that your life continues just fine without my sofa.  Life must have been so bad for you to not have my couch.  Did you lose sleep over it, did you go hungry, well maybe your lazy arse should have came and picked it up, maybe you should have offered more, just like the other guy who ended up with it.  Rip Off Report: this has nothing to do with a business, and is nothing more than slander, I will be contacting a legal council as this is ridiculous.  Brandon, I did not even take your money, you were not out anything.   Get a life, this is just another example of how uncredible this site really is, nothing more than rants from losers.

This man's business decisions are shady to say the least and he is not a man of his word. All a man has is his word and if that isn't any good, he is no good. I had an agreement to purchase some furniture from this man that he had advertised on Craigs List. The agreement was $430 for him to deliver his white leather sectional couch with recliner and pull out sleeper.  The agreement was made on Thursday Nov 18th and delivery was to be on Saturday Nov 20th. I sold my living room furniture on Friday night to make room for our new sectional coming the following day. He never called or showed, won't answer emails or phone. Now my wife, two 3 year old twin girls, 1 year old son adn myself have no furniture to sit or lay on in our living room and only have the exact amount of money needed to pay Steve for his sectional; we sold our furniture for the exact amount we needed to purchase the sectional = $430.

Again,  these are both unverified, false, accusations with no logic nor reputable source.  To claim that I am a liar, thief, falsified workman comp, etc.  Then to go further making threats, and claiming the authorities are coming after me.  Well I am not hiding, and have contacted the Dept of Labor, as well as my attorney.  Nothing, there is nothing.  No reports, no filing, no complaints, no lawsuits, no charges, nothing.  Again, I would challenge any of the author's of the posting to furnish any sort of proof other than their illogical ramblings and accusations.  Again I assure you that nothing legitimate will be produced from the author, just more ramblings and nonsense accusations.

On Site Computer Services is no longer in business, nor has it been for the past two years.  It was an idea that I had to run a Nation-Wide IT Break Fix Service company with at least ten contractors is every state to total 500.  To start is out I only had several in 15 states totaling approx 90-100.  The agreement that I had with every single contractor, was the exact same.  They were to make $20 per hour on site, they had to follow the work scope, they could not solicit their own services while on my jobs, they had to be on time and go through the standard call in procedures while on site, they had to be available to my staff as well as the customer while on site and performing my jobs, they would have to finish the job they started; if any of those rules or standards where broken the contractor would not get paid for their time, as I would not get paid.  All of the rules/procedures I contracted my technician with, were the exact same I had with the service company who contracted my company to do the work.  So when the technician would be in violation and not get paid, neither would the company.  I found that many of these contracted individuals would not adhere to any of the rules or procedures.  In many cases I would pay them to stop calling me even though I wouldn't get paid for the job they "claimed" to complete.  With the situation explained above, it is quite simple; he was a sub-contractor, he was contracted by On Site Computer Services, who was contracted by GA Services, who was contracted by the Luxor Casino.  As stated in many times in the above statement made by this contractor, in his own words, he violated the contract.

The statements made are outrageous and have no logical backing what so ever.  I am surprised that the editor of this site would allow this sort of "blogging" on their site that is to inform consumers.  The above accusation is nothing short of malice or slander.  I have still yet to receive any communication from either of these "bloggers" as I am confident they are all a single person.

I challenge this posting to be proven, any proof of any sort be identified.  I assure anyone reading this their will be nothing reputable.

#6UPDATE EX-employee responds

I was employed with OSCS from 11/07 til 3/08, before the contract was signed i was assured i would be making $1000 per week or more, once i began working for steve, the work orders were more than 60 miles from my home and i was not compensated for driving time, which is understandable but 15 cents a mile doesnt do anything even if your driving a 4 cyl. vehicle, the work orders would come very seldom and with little notice, once the service was completed, i would call steve right away and woud close the w.o., several weeks later i would recieve my comp., but it would be extremely late, "the checks in the mail is what i would hear. in december i was stabbed six time and was in the hosp. two days later i was performing service!! which i should not have been doing since i had 23 stiches in my dominant hand. i had surgery in feb. and the day of the surg, steve and one of the companys who contracted him were calling me, three days later, i get a call from steve saying that our contract was terminated, steve is gonna get

Blatant Lies and Complete Garbage from OSCS.... Again

#7Author of original report

Onsite Computer Services has not bothered to say which company this rebuttal has come from, is it the one from Florida, the one from Conn. the one from Mi? I've found no less than 5 companies, all using the same telephone numbers all of them run by Steve Ternes. Notice the key phrase "Run By" he is not an employee at all, in fact, you would need a business license to have employees, and so far, there are none. So Mr. Ternes from Michigan, (no not from Wa, or Fla, or Conn.) the Dept. of Labor has your information and are planning to give you a new job real soon. Good Luck in your future incarceration.

They hired my husband in Las Vegas as well, and never paid him either. I don't recall what the BS excuse was at that time, but I believe this complaint is is valid due to what they did to him as well. They blamed him for something, just like this person, and then just screwed him on the paycheck they promised. This company will definitly rip you off.....The only thing they do professionally is lie.

Michael: Complete Nonsense

#9UPDATE Employee

Wed, May 21, 2008

This report is not even close to the truth. I am an employee of OSCS and welcome anyone to view the paperwork and all correspondence to this case. Michael is a complete fraud, he has caused OSCS to lose a very large contract and his actions are completely unprofessional. This was an "On Call" position for several Las Vegas casinos, to perform back up LCD maintenance service. The first call we had for Michael was at the Excalibur Casino, Michael was to pick up parts prior to arriving on site, then go and diagnose and repair an issue with an LCD TV in the casino. There are procedures to running these service calls, such as, when Michael Helweg arrived on site he was to call the lead technician and log in, and get the details for the job. Then after that Michael was to call the lead tech and our office and log off site and explain what repairs were made. Michael Helweg did none of those. During the time that Michael was to be on site both the contracting agency (that he said he was in full contact with) and several OSCS employees were attempting to reach him all day. Later in the evening we received a call from Michael, he stated no work was performed, he went on site, looked around, and left. Also, it is policy, every time Michael was on site he was to get a managers signature and fax/email that into our offices for invoicing. Michael did nothing and expects to get compensated for it. Then when he was to arrive on site another time to fix it he did not show up. Again both OSCS and the contracting agency where attempting to contact Michael all day. A few days later we received a call from Michael stating that he was at a funeral and left a message in our office stating so. Of course there was no message. All of the allegations the Michael are false, we only charged the contracting agency $30 per hour, $90 would have been great, maybe the contracting agency was charging the Luxor $90? I don't know where Michael got his information but none if it is true. Michael's statement are nothing more than "words of an irrational angry man."
