Karen, You may be victim of drive-by downloading. If you go to a site, usually an adult one, they may sneak software onto your computer that will connect your modem to an overseas or #900 to run up a bill on your phone. If you are using a cable modem without the computer's modem being connected to the phone then I am not sure. Now, I am not saying that people who get these go to adult sites... with so many pop-ups and redirections going on with spyware and mal-ware it is entirely possible that inadvertantly you were taken advantage of. Unfortunately, with something like this it will look to the phone company that the call was made from your phone since they don't know if it was a person or the computer making this call. I would recommend downloading Ad-Ware from www.lavasoft.com It is absolutely free and is considered one of the best. Once you run it the program will go through your computer and search for these types of programs... usually identified by the description of a "dialer". Let Aw-Ware remove these from your computer and run it about once a week. Now, the FTC on their website has a link to ecommerce which is a multinational effort to stop these types of things. I would suggest going to their site at www.ftc.gov and clicking the link to the right and reporting this company. Good Luck,
