this has been a mad experience with One World Van Lines. in fact contracted them over 2 months ago so as to get everything in line. I set the date and set the time to be picked up at 7 a.m. I asked the sales rep about having them pack a few things for me. he stated it was part of the price. and so I contracted them. then I read a bunch of Ripoff Report and bad reviews online and started to get nervous. having numerous occasions stated that one world arrived very late if not at all I started calling them to confirm that they were going to arrive at the designated time and they said yes each time. they also agreed each time I called that in fact they would pack the few remaining items in my house as quoted.
then the madness began. they were set to pick me up between 8 and 10 after they decided that seven o'clock was too early so I agreed. at 10 no one had arrived just as I had bread in the riff off Report reviews. when I called I was told that the louver would not arrive until 1. I told them I had been in touch with them several times and this was not fair because I had to drive 2100 miles. they said there was nothing they could do. then they told me out of the blue that I could not pay them in anything but cash. suspicious as it was I refused so they agreed to take a check.
when the driver did finally arrived after half the day was over at 2 o'clock he arrogantly walked around and sniffed at everything that was in my apartment. she said it was the fault of the agency not his that he was late. he then said that he refuse to pack and that it was not part of the agreement. so at the last minute he walked off after all these months that I had organised my move. and so if you are looking for a mover that is dependable I wouldn't bet my bottom dollar on one world van lines.
PS. something very interesting in that their reviews are all Arab names. I think they add their own reviews to erase some of the bad reviews I've seen earlier.
