I purchased a Fantom hard drive from Buy.com, due in part to the $20 rebated advertised with the product. Upon receiving the hard drive, I submitted to the OnRebate website all documentation required for them to send me a rebate form. When I submitted the information an automated message stated that I would receive the form by email in 48 hours. After about a week I contacted OnRebate's online customer service department. Again I received the automated message that I would be contacted by email in 48 hours.

Of course, I am here to complain that I have not heard anything from the company. Now, my rebate is no longer even listed on their web site. I feel that I have been taken by OnRebate. Also, I think that Buy.com is responsible for associating with this company. It seems apparent that this is merely a scheme to discourage rebate activity through unreasonable paperwork (which I was willing to perform) and worse, by completely ignoring submissions.
