Bridgewater Volkswagen New Jersey has to be the biggest scam artist I have ever met in my life as both a car buyer and dealer. No I seen some pretty crazy scams in my life working as a car dealer and that buy here pay here dealerships and alongside a certified Volkswagen dealerships. I'll try to keep this as short as possible. My grandfather recently committed suicide putting tremendous strain on my family. I knew I had to get a car to help out my family and help take over what he was leaving behind.(Farmer, family and, master carpenter, all around handyman, fund assistance) I was searching for a few hours for a specific car a Volkswagen Jetta 1.8 tsi 2014 . Because Ive bought the car I've sold it I fixed it I driven it I have insured, warrantied it etcetera and so on. After searching online for about 6 hours. It came down to 2 dealerships those of which were out of state. Both I had contactacted and spoke back and forth with for over 2 hours to negotiate a deal. Keep in mind they knew how far I was when I would arrive and that I had previously been a car salesman, and all negotiations were

for an understanded out the door price(tax title everything included) One an hour away one hour 40 mins. Both had almost the exact same car(so I thought) except one had a sunroof the other didn't mileage was same within 4000 difference. The color same year same. You get the picture. The only difference was the other dealership had their car listed at 13k. BRIDGEWATER VW, WE will call the bsvw for the sake of shortening the long confusing name of the dealership. So I call up said dealership and bsVW as well. After the other dealership is told that it is bsvw they are competing agents for a sale, I am immediately told by other dealership that he used to work there and they will rip you off 1000 yes one thousand dollars with some type of charge immediately when you get the contract. He send this to me because bsbw is offering the car to me at the price of $9,500 which below market value for a certified pre-owned car like this by any standard. Especially since they were both said to be sel models.(top model sound system wireless entry touch screen) so I call DS VW and they did admit that they rip off charge $1,000. Then knew exactly who I was talking to and what dealership it was. I called back and forth between the two until finally the other dealer said they would match their price.final price being aroud 11.8k (guessing because they didn't

like each other) anyway I show up its late at night just about closing time which they knew what happened I ended up going to the closer dealership and giving up the sunroof because I wouldn't make it to the other one for another hour. And there was a dent on the back of the other dealerships car I hadn't noticed before. On my way I was told I couldn't buy it outright and I had to finance it. If I wanted the offer. Which I knew was scam number one but didn't care because I would just pay it off after I refinanced it though my mother's bank(she had lower credit). Being the that is the day where you dig certified dealership I stupidly did not pay attention as my mother signed the contract besides the first page which I noticed they tried to add 1000 dollars. It said delivery fee I asked what the hell that meant and they said it was because they have to pay for the cars to be delivered to their dealership which is a complete lie as I told them and he said he would remove it. The rest of the contract looked fine. So he reprinted the contract and I went out to smoke and was being distracted in convo by the other

car salesman. Well when he adjusted the thousand dollars, he also "adjusted" in 3000 dollars of b's charging me almost 1000 dollars for the title, tax didn't add up right, changed the price from 9500 to 10000.99(voided other services on agreement contract if you go over10k) my mother-in-law and I used to sell cars just sign the way because I gave her the okay and didn't know that they had just just added thousands of dollars on. Then she was finishing up I told him I want to speak to the financial manager and to make sure I didn't get an extended warranty which is a big spot is Volkswagen dealers will screw you on so they make extra money because if you've already have a certified pre-owned car it comes with two years and or 24000 miles of coverage for free. I told him if they had the sport coverage cheap I would take it nothing else. He told me no that they only had one option for insurance.(complete lie) hearing that I merely told him that we didn't want any coverage. He said

ok just sign here then. My mother signed(she is slightly mentally disabled) so she didn't read it once again relying on me and me thinking she really was because it's illegal for a car dealer to lie to you. Or make changes without telling you. Well he lies and she just signed the contract for a $4,000 warranty which by the way should have only cost about $1,600. I also asked why there was no keyless entry system or upgraded radio/audio. He told me keyless just means you use a remote. Which is Also a lie its called remote entry. Long story short they switch the car on us also the warranty pay for that must be in the back window at all times is it states if the car is insured or not was torn up and thrown in the glove box I guess that's why he didn't greet me when I arrived. Knowing it was it was just the SE at this point I didn't even care because I thought I was saving $4,000 at bsvw. But I was getting charged 6000 additional that I didn't realise until I got home. I immediately called him to

cancel the contract the next day. He refused and actually hung up on me. Saying wait a couple months try it out. Well after 3 months you can't refund it and the longer you wait the more it cost. He also refused to change anything that was added or adjust the title fee that cost 75 dollar they charged me around 700 for! Then I find out if I get rid of the warrant my car is no longer certified pre own.... that makes it worth about 5 to 6k..... certified pre owned is a big deal in VW. I realise it needs inspection... So they lied and switched the car with a car that wasn't even certified pre owned. Thus making me sign a contract for a warranty making it seem certified pre owned. This was crazy I never in my experienced this level of scam, and

illegality. On top of it all the car fax said one owner no accidents. Well guess what the mechanic said when he inspected it..... the whole front of the d**n car had been re done. Even the bolts were re painted. Legal action is obvious. And I'm not sure how they are even still operating or have any bonds left or a contract with banks or Volkswagen. Bsvw.... wow you guys are scum. When I told them I needed the car right away because I had a appointment to get my interlock put in the financialmanamger told me I should just save the money and drive without a licence.....that he didn't remember growing up it was just one big blackout....... this of course all said as we left the place. Long story long. Stay away! Do not listen to anything they say. This place has been obviously possessed by demon spawn. I'm glad one guy got out at least(the other dealer that warned me about the 1000 charged and use to work there.) But yea guys don't buy anything from them they obviously have no heart or care in the world for people...and still think they are a buy here pay here dealership. Which interesting fact the first dealership I worked at was buy here pay here and was essentially ran by the mob didn't even come close to this place.(yes I left working there very quickly.) Haha if you made it this far please give them a call back and let

them know you won't be buying from them after reading this review. Contact me if you had a similar experience. They obviously pay a lot of money to hide the bad comments and make themselves show up first on Google...yes thousands. To hide the lies. It's a fact. Even can't view there site on my phone anymore. Scary stuff. Stay away from any dealership they own they are also in NYC I'm guessing they operate the same everywhere no wonder they can't meet there quota to get better financing from VW. Guess this is how they make up for it. If I didn't love vw I would of never bought a VW again after that experience. Hope they enjoy my dead grandfathers hard earned money. From real manual labor not parlor trick paper scams and lies. And be careful they copied all the individual documents you sign to void your different rights and put them all on the same car dog page so you don't notice your signing everything away. That's why they are made to be separate... also illegal.
