Complaint Review: Out Of Box Wedding & Events - MIami Florida

We hired Cemone Glinton with "out of box weddings llc". Her job duties included one day wedding planning, executing plans we agreed on, following blue prints, bringn a team, turning in images and videos, greeting guest etc. She was suppose to give us images and videos and now refuses to release them unless we pay her and her associate "Sinuchi photography aka Kelly Edwards" an unregistered Florida business. She is trying to make us pay an additional $400. Sinuchi and Cemone also used our personal wedding footage and family to create a video commercial including both of our logos (I have a copy of) with out anyone’s consent. It includes both of their business logos over our personal wedding footage. When I ask for the footage they did not want to give them all up and asked us to pay $400.

Most importantly on the actual day of the wedding, they were late; they were rude to my family, guest, and staff. Told my mother it was to late for her to do a toast. Told my DJ who is a platinum recording artist "have you ever DJ'ed before". My chef complained that she was rude to him. I sent my aunt along to help her prepare and when my aunt told her she was doing things wrong, they did not listen and continued to ignore her. She decided to NOT to use the expensive plates and glasses we purchased because she states "plastic was easier". Causing us a loss of $1800. She did not bring out our gift table that we paid for or the table sashes, and the Custom cake cutters, another loss of $100.

They threw away guest plates and drinks while they were sitting AND started pulling the tables and decorations away while the party was still going on. I was MORTIFIED!!!! I could not believe the lack of respect and professionalism. She refuses to work with us to fix this issues and no longer answers calls or emails that we have sent. I have numerous email asking for her help on this matter and she just chooses to not reply. They even came dressed in jeans and t-shirt to a FORMAL wedding. Her team was in the buffet line serving themselves a plate, my mother questioned what was going on. She states that it was in her contract to feed the staff AFTER the guest had eaten. There was a whole line of guest waiting to eat AFTER my hired help was serving themselves.

The purpose for this post is to make a review that cannot be removed. I trusted her with me wedding. I am an event coordinator and even made a picture book with blueprints to ensure that nothing could go wrong. We met in person and went over everything. We went back and forth multiple times, yet it was not as promised or planned. I have practically begged for them to give up our wedding footage and video... they just don’t reply. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau as well. I trusted one of the most important days of my life to someone who treated us with disregard and no love. I left feeling cheated, embarrassed, hurt and now like we are being hustled. I hope no family has to encounter a situation like this. 

To make things worst, I wrote a review on wedding wire and she told then she never worked with me. I sent them a copy of the contract, pictures of her at the wedding and email correspondences from her after the wedding. She lied to them so she wouldn’t get a bad review. I sent one last email asking for the footage and video or I promised to follow thru with the complaints and seek legal help.... no reply!
