Overhead Door Company Of Austin (AKA, Kelly Kraft Of Austin) All Custom Doors and "matching" Garage Doors delayed with many excuses and NOT ONE dimension or design is correct Austin Texas
We luckily had a Great general contractor that repeatedly advised us that Dave Kelly of Overhead Door of Austin was lying from the start of our problems with non-delivery of custom wrought-iron doors. Kelly blamed everyone from sub-contractors to the Mexican government for these doors being lost, broken and constructed improperly. At one time he did tell our contractor that he "really hated to see nice folks getting screwed." This comment sucked us into believing that some of the excuses could be at least half-truths.
After several months of waiting past the promised installation date, the doors were improperly installed (later revised by Caracol Doors of Austin) without any glass or lock-sets & knobs.
Months later glass was installed (but not insulated glass as agreed). About a month after that installation, Mr. Kelly personally delivered and installed two lock-sets that did not match the doors nor did they match each other in size or shape. This made me physically ill as we still had several thousand dollars worth of garage doors to be installed and finished with an exact matching paint as the wrought-iron doors.
The exact same excuses followed with the installation of non-insulated garage doors that did not match our CAD design in size, shape, finish or wrought-iron work over the glass (and on display @ Mr. Kelly's door company). This is a bait & switch that the Texas A.G.'s office will love to hear about. He lied to my wife when she asked him specifically about the insulation for the garage doors. She requested to physically lay hands on the actual doors at his shop after all of the delays and excuses. He snowed her with "the frames are insulated" only to later admit to my GC that he had in fact not known the true condition of the doors.
I finished this whole mess by contracting directly with Caracol Doors to correct all of Mr. Kelly's shoddy work and installed my own lock-sets (while retaining the non-matching sets as evidence of the piss-poor work Kelly Kraft does). Do NOT do business with Overhead Door Company of Austin or Kelly Kraft!!! They lie with a smile and a thousand excuses.

I am unsure how and why these things happened to you and I apologize. Although, I wanted to report that this business no longer is in charge of selling or dealing with Overhead Door product. I wanted to inform the people that this business (Overhead Door of Austin - Residential) has been handed to new owners. We here at Overhead Door of Austin (Commercial and now Residential) are committed in providing people and businesses with quality product and services. Please do not let this report discourage you from dealing with Overhead Door. We, as new owners, are working hard at rebuilding the name in the residential market. We have owned the Overhead Door of Austin - Commercial business in the since 2002 with a large range of customers that include the City of Austin (all city owned and run locations), Travis County, Chasco, Harvey Cleary, Hopkins, Bartlett Cocke and much more. You can Google our business and find all of our contact information as needed. You may find us under the business name of Holt Door Systems, Inc. as well. We have just recently added Overhead Door Residential to our lineup, so we have not yet made all changes to our website.
