P. Scott Lowery Law offices; P. Scott Lowery Non-Stop Harassment by Owner, calling for wrong party! Denver Colorado
I received a call on my caller I.D. from phone number (303) 218-7554 identified as "Lowry Law" on my caller I.D. box.
Mr. Lowery asked for another person with my last name. I explained that there was nobody in my household or immediate family with that name and went to say goodbye to end the unnecessary conversation. I do not know and have NEVER known anyone by that name.
I was told firmly, "You DO know this individual. " I explained that no, I did not ( and I have NO relatives by that first name anywhere!)
This man was insistent that I DO know the person he was asking for and I told him again, "No, I do not."
He went on to continually barrage me with questions regarding this individual (for this post, I'll say "Larry") --- and again, I told him that I do not know ANY Larry's in my home or otherwise.
So, then, he says... "Well, if you aren't LARRY, than who are you REALLY!??? Immediately, I realized this man was doubting everything I was saying, and I was really beginning to resent that he was essentially calling me a liar.
I'd seen "Lowry Law" on my Caller ID, and so when I initially received the call, I wanted to be helpful to whomever was calling - assuming that it was an attorney or legal representive. (I guess I thought that was the 'polite' thing to do)
This guy who called was getting ruder and ruder by the minute and the more I explained that I DO NOT KNOW this guy he is asking for,..... Have never known one... not now... not ever!
And still, this guy was going on and on about how I needed to respect him and tell him the TRUTH ---when, in fact, that was all that I'd done.
I wrote down the number off of Caller ID to follow up today, and just wanted to put in my 2 cents worth to say that ANY company who treats complete strangers llike this jerk did does not deserve to be in business or practicing law or whatever it is that he does. I am guessing by the way he harrassed me over and over that he is a collection agency looking for someone who has my very common last name.
By the time I hung up, I was completely angry and just wanting to scream at the phone. All I'd done was answer the phone pollitely and told the truth about who I was - and that I had no knowledge of anyone by the name he was asking for --- and I wasn't being secretive or dishonest --- I simply know nobody with that 1st name and my last name.
If I'd ever happen to ever see that Lowry Law Offices phone number show up on my Caller ID ever again, I will simply yell, GO TO HELL and hang up.
