Purchased "Natural" Hair Dye.  Had my Stylist apply it to newly grown-out-roots.

The result was complete ineffectiveness of the product.  That is to say I got zero coverage or color on my roots. 

The amount of product is half of normal, so there was not enough product to apply to all the roots.  Of the areas that did get an application there was zero effect.

At the same time my normally strong, semi-coarse, healthy hair was damaged.  It became dry and brittle, and when wet, it was stretchy.  This is similar to the effect of harsh peroxide color removal.  It tangles now.

Last, my scalp was dyed blue.  It required seven shampoos over 2 weeks, and normal skin regeneration and shedding for the blue color to be gone.

I also ordered conditioner, which was also 100% ineffective.

Their phone number was not posted on their site.  I found it on the open internet.  I called and left a voicemail.  I then received an email requesting me to email them, which I did, including a full description of what happened.

Their reply was that they did not give refunds on opened products.  I responded that I was completely disatisfied with that responce that that I would warn other people to beware of their business.  I received no responce from them after that.

I have since registered my complaint with the Minnesota Better Business Bureau.  Palette by Nature did not respond to any of their multiple attempts to contact them.  My report plus two other complaints are registered with the MN BBB. 

I have retained full documentation of everything I have said in this statement.  My Stylist will verify our experience with the dye.

Costs that I incurred beyond the product and shipping have been for 1) costly product to rebuild the damaged hair, 2) paying my Stylist twice - the second time to apply more color that worked, and 3) time and aggrivation

Hair color amount was so tiny that it couldn't fully cover a modest amount of hair. Of the hair that was covered, it totally did not work.

Their hair color was damaging (quite drying) to the hair.

My scalp was stained blue. It took 3 weeks of shampooing and scalp/skin regeneration to get rid of the blue.

They had poor customer service, no phone support, which cost me more time and aggravation

They do not stand by their product, ignored what happened, and made a ludicrous suggestion, given the entirety of the problems I described.

Their internet claims that are not true.

Of the 3 products I ordered, the only product that worked was the shampoo.

Desired Settlement

I would like refunded the cost of everything except the shampoo. I am using the shampoo, but would never have ordered just the shampoo alone.
