Palm Beach Planners, specifically Vanessa Cahill, was to plan a beachside wedding for 100 people and it was an absolute disaster due to this planner's bungling lack of capability. Please use extreme caution before hiring this planner. She made endless promises during the one and a half years of planning the event that she never delivered the day of the event. The most notable indication of her incompetence was that she was "unaware" of the taxes and gratuity that would be added to our total reception cost! This meaning that we were given a bill two days before the wedding for $3,500 above what we had budgeted. She attempted to cover the mistake by telling the hotel she would pay for $2,000 (we had to cover the other $1,500) but she later refused payment and the hotel charged our credit account anyway! Presently, we have a dispute pending between the credit card company and PBP.

Overall, I felt the day was chaotic, unprofessionally designed, and missing important details that were made clear long before the wedding day. The ceremony setup and reception had the appearance of a last minute, thrown together wedding. I was extremely disappointed, saddened, and devastated by the numerous mistakes and mishaps that occurred. It will take a long time for my husband and I to recover from this huge letdown. This company was trusted to attend to specific wedding details and what resulted was something not even close to what was paid for or expected.

Here are some of the complaints:

-Numerous decor errors: Ceremony set-up in wrong place on the beach and without sand covering unsightly gray matting board; flowers purple, not pink as wanted; cheap centerpieces; missing flowers for pastor, isle, and bouquets; ordered orchids but received roses; round tables used instead of ordered rectangular.

-The planner arrived 3-4 hours late and without any assistants as contracted.

-No special lighting, twinkle lights, or other lighting techniques as promised.

-No linens draped to cover the green poles or as room dividers as promised.

-Numerous tables set up with erroneous place settings (tables for 6 only set with 4 chairs; tables for 8 set up only for 6). Later heard of from guests of the chaos.

-Wrong table favors: cheap looking chocolate kisses wrapped in mesh instead of the pretty sand dollar cookies as promised. Chocolate kisses were never even discussed.

-No Key Lime Margarita Signature drinks made or passed by hotel staff as promised.

-Budget problems: not adding in taxes and gratuity in final cost, which put us well over budget and forced us to dip into our honeymoon money to cover costs.

-Grooms cake wrong (plain round instead of firefighter truck) and it was not even displayed at the reception.

-The band played the bridal march for the entire bridal party processional and then just restarted the same song for me to walk down the aisle!

-Cake in the wrong colors: green and purple instead of pink and gold as planned.

People should get their facts straight, don't believe everything you read.

People should not believe everything they read and jump on a bandwagon especially to people they have never met. The allegations named here are from a disgruntled Bride, remember there are always TWO sides to every story and just because you read it does not make it true.

To the second person. EVERYTHING in your post is a lie. There should be a law against posting lies about people that can certainly be backed up by fact. We have NEVER taken out a $500k equity loan especially since the house is upside down, wow you really don't know how those things work do you??? The house is NOT foreclosed on we are still living in it  the loan was modified because we aren't the type of people to walk away and fought to keep our home and we NEVER lived in a condo anywhere??? And what water scam??? You mean the one Erin Brokovich and her law firm are involved in that we have NOTHING to do with??? We aren't suing anyone or have anything to do with the Cancer Cluster I have refused talking to the media for almost 2 years now. You seem to have a problem mixing up things you see on the news with real people. Amazing how they will let anyone post whatever they want on these things.

To the third person.... you are obviously the employee that was fired for not doing your job and getting paid well for it.

Again, anyone with a grudge can go and post lies about people as retaliation these days and hopefully intelligent people will realize that and not buy into everything they read by bitter people who hide behind fake names to avoid be sued for slander.

Oh I am not surprised - these people bought a place out here and then a year later, somehow took out an equity loan for over 500K . Of course, true to this poor bride's experience, they just didn't pay -  Now they have been foreclosed on by Order of Default since August 2009.  - They didn't even bother to respond. Good riddance! - But that's not the end : Even a week after getting a foreclosure judgement, Vanessa - who by the way married John Valderrama in April 2009 & is now  Mrs. Vanessa Kimberly VALDERRAMA,(modify your lawsuit papers) they are involved in some well water scam out here. Even after the Health dept found the water safe, all these    who don't want to pay their mortgages are now trying to blame it on water! - Every other week this Vanessa Valderrama is on TV trying to get 5 min of fame for "her fears about Acreage water" Geesh! She is not even a home-owner! John VALDERRAMA is the only owner of the house. Vanessa Kimberly just lives with him there.  It's such a shame she ruined your wedding  - Now they are ruing our neighborhood with their unpaid-for houses .   I think it's great that this website warns others of these scammers before they get to your neighborhood!

Oh I am not surprised - these people bought a house out here and then a year later, somehow took out an equity loan for over 500K - more than twice what they paid for the place. & double what it was worth. Of course, true to this poor bride's experience, they just didn't pay - instead they paid for some sleazy condo that they were renting out.  Now they have been foreclosed on by order of Default since August 2009.  - They didn't even bother to respond. Good riddance! - But that's not the end of their scamming: Even a week after getting a foreclosure judgement, Vanessa - who by the way finally married her child's father in April 2009 & is now  Mrs. Vanessa Kimberly VALDERRAMA,(modify your lawsuit papers) they are involved in some well water scam out here. Even after the Health dept found the water safe, all these scammers who don't want to pay their mortgages are now trying to blame it on water! - Every other week this Vanessa Valderrama is on TV trying to get 5 min of fame for "her fears about Acreage water" Geesh! Watch out for these guys: John VALDERRAMA is the only owner of the house. Vanessa Kimberly just lives with him there.  I'll bet that the next scam house will be in her name. It's such a shame she ruined your wedding  - Now they are ruing our neighborhood with their unpaid-for houses -  Maybe this website will warn others of these scammers before they try to move into your neighborhood!
