Palmetto Marketing Inc. ripoff consumer rip-off fraud screwed others too THANKS RIP-OFF REPORT Coral Gables Florida
We opened the door to a young woman this evening who was claiming to just need a few more sales to win a trip to Cancun. Being tired and not wanting to deal with a pushy sales call I broke down right away and picked one magazine to get rid of her.
She wrote down a web site address and made a big deal of being able to cancel within three days, "but please wait as long as you can so I will get credit for the points needed for the trip"
I checked the web site, right after she left and found this page with all the complaints, so my husband and I went out and chased them down!!
We stopped them at a light and my husband jumped out and went to the van they were in and demanded our check back. She pulled out a stack of checks that was about 2 inches thick!
We were lucky and got our money back, but it made us sick to think of all the people here in this small town that were ripped off. They left our town immediately!
I called all the local TV stations and notified them and advised them to check out this web site. We also called the police who were not able to help.
Unfortunately, too many people find this out too late. Spread the word in your area!!!

Dear Lois, I'm Tina Cecil a manager for Palmetto Marketing of Coral Springs, Fl. I read your complaint regarding a young lady who sold you a magazine subscription. I just wanted to assure you that you nor your neigbors and other members of your community were scammed or decieved in any way. Our company has been in business over 15 years and has good standings with all the publishing companies. I'm sorry that you read the ripoff web site before you had a chance to let our company fullfill your order as obligated by law. The sales agent that approched your residence was not deceptive in any way. The agents all compete against each other to win a trip and many cash awards. They are also compensated with a commission for every order. I read many of the complaints on this web site and i'm suprised that many people say the same thing. Which is I only cancelled because of what I read. None of them even gave the company the benefite of the dought. I assure you you were not decieved or taken advantage of. I hope you won't let this influence your jundgement of all hard working sales people whom knock on your door. Again we appolagize for the inconvience this may have caused you.
