I was out of work, when a young man came to my door on 10-08-02. He represented himself as a student, and barged his way into my home.

He gave me a story about trying to win a contest to further his education. Since I was out of work, I purchased only one magazine for the cost of $40, and have not seen one issue of the magazine.

I would think that the magazines represented would be interested in putting a stop to this fraud, as it has certainly changed any thoughts I had of purchasing a legitimate subscription!

The first time I dealt with them was in 1994 and they're still scamming!

The first time that I dealt with this "company" was in '94. My child made the mistake of opening the door while I was in the bathroom. I was surprised and very angry to see this strange looking guy in my living room. I demanded that he leave. He refused. I didn't want to buy his magazines, but this guy wouldn't leave. He kept on trying to "just get a hug" and when I refused, kept on grabbing me where he shouldn't. I tried calling the police, but he snatched the phone away from me. The ONLY way to get rid of him was to buy the d**n magazines, $80 something dollars worth. Of course only 1 of them came. God I was pissed! Then in fall of '02, I had the displeasure of meeting another guy from this company. He looked like he was high on something, jerking around, looking side to side. He started with the line of "I'm trying to win a contest that my school is running by selling the most magazines." I said that I wasn't interrested through the screen door. He looked pretty upset, and then it looked like a light bulb went off somewhere in his head, extended his hand and said "hi my name is..." (can't remember his name- it probably was fake anyway.)Like I was going to be stupid enough to open the door so he can shove his way in. I wasn't scared this time though, as he didn't look like he eaten a decent meal in a long time, and now I live across from the fire station. So I told him to go to hell, I knew it was a scam, and if I ever saw him again that I would kick his a*s. Then, the dumb a*s went to my neighboor's house! So I followed him to warn my neighboor. They always have a van that drops them off, and picks them up later, I wish I could have seen the license plate!
