HERE IS A COPY OF AN E-MAIL I SENT TO THIS COMPANY AT [email protected]:

(Name, address, and phone have been changed for obvious reasons)

i ordered 1 mag subscription on 4-5-04 for "humpty dumpty" order #4027228. issues column is not filled out but i was told it would be 2 years worth. the name on my order is my son's: John Smith 1000 Any St. Anywhere, US 00000. phone is 000-000-0000

i have read many reports about you on ripoffreport.com and i have also read the info on your website. i am willing to wait the 120 days it takes to get the magazines but if i do not receive them in a timely manner i will send reports to all major consumer agencies and websites. IF MY ORDER IS NOT IN MY HANDS ON AUGUST 5, 2004 I WANT A COMPLETE REFUND.

although your receipt says that you are not affiliated with any school and that the sales person is not your employee and you are therefore not responsible for their actions, i believe you encourage these people to lie or at least allow it to take place which makes you a very unethical company. the fact that you have no other contact info but an address on your receipt is a dubious way to deal with your "valued customers" and 90 to 120 days is an exorbitant length of time to process orders.

i want you to know that my sales person was david halvorsen and the sales co. was listed as HPS. to the left of the order # he wrote 010. his whole pitch was one big lie about being a high school student and trying to earn money for a sr. trip. he said he lived on a street adjacent to mine and "maybe you've seen my mom's white ford expedition drive by". he gave me the stub of my receipt with "010 bug off! dave was here" written on it to place on my door to keep "other kids in his class away".

i can not believe that you allow people to represent you in this manner whether they are employees or not! much of what i read on ripoffreport.com is almost exactly, down to minute details, what happened to me which leads me to believe that these people are TRAINED this way!! whether you are truly a legitimate company or not, i do not feel one bit sorry for you having so many checks cancelled on you. i am a small business owner and i know what is and is NOT good business. personally, i think you just wait to see what you can get away with and offer apologies and refunds when things begin to escalate. isn't it better business to try to get repeat customers and referrals??

i will never do business with you again.

most sincerely,

Kari S--------

ON THEIR WEBSITE, PALMETTOMARKETINGINC.COM, THEY COMPLAINED ABOUT RIPOFFREPORT.COM AND THAT PEOPLE WHO READ WHAT'S ON THIS SITE CANCEL THEIR CHECKS. MORE POWER TO THOSE OF YOU WHO DID! I WISH I COULD SO I COULD ORDER DIRECTLY FROM THE MAGAZINE COMPANY AND GET MY MAGS IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS! I SENT THEM THIS E-MAIL TODAY, JUNE 26, 2004 AND I WILL REPORT BACK TO YOU ALL BY 08-05-04(120 DAYS FROM DATE OF ORDER) TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!

Received my magazine as promised

Today, July 23, 2004, I received the magazine I ordered from Palmetto. It arrived approx. 110 days after I ordered which, though it is definitely too long to wait for a magazine, was within the 120 days they specified. I maintain that the Palmetto salesperson was a complete liar and said whatever he felt had to to get the sale. I have a bad taste in my mouth regarding this company and though they met their "promise" I don't plan to do business with them again.
