Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I just discovered a dirty not know little secret about the major pizza companies. You'll love this folks. I ordered a large 5 topping pizza, got pizza and started eating a slice. I couldn't taste any sauce on it so I slowly pulled back the cheese, the pie was lucky (in my opinion) to have 5 tablespoons of sause on it. If that wasn't bad enough I found only a VERY SMALL amount of each topping on this. I email corp headquarters and they informed me that the store that I order this from would contact me, which they did.

The manager (I guess) asked me what the problem was, in a very condensending snooty voice. I told her and you wouldn't believe what she told me. I really think that she let it slip. I asked her why so little of EVERYTHING on this pie. Now here comes the slipping part, she said that the more toppings that you order the less amount of each that you get even though you are paying full price per a full amount of each topping.

She stated that a large pizza gets 60 pieces of pepperoni if ordering just this one topping. If you order say two toppings you get only 30 pieces of pepperoni and the second topping is cut back also. Mind you now that you are paying full price for each topping but the more toppings that you order the less of each topping you get. So if you order 5 toppings you only get 1/5 of each one. The reason (sic) that she gave was that if they put on full amounts of each topping that they wouldn't cook. Now we aren't broiling a 3" london broil along side a 5/16" fish patty at the same time and one will burn to a crisp while the other is still being cooked.

So people next time you go and go to the pizza shop and order more than one topping ask them to show you the pie nefore they put it in the oven. This is kindda' like McDonalds giving you a full cup of ice and approx. 5 ozs. of soda for $1.89 and you ask them for no ice they give you a blank stare or won't fill your cup all the way. I caught Dominos skimping along theses lines also, needless to say I won't buy from either one of them again and I live in a fairly small town and I have been telling others about this SCAM.

ridiculous at best. Pizza topping have been cooked ahead of time. The meat used on pizza is already edible without cooking it again. Its not a matter of the toppings being cooked properly, its a matter of the pizza being cooking properly.

How has no one ever noticed that toppings are less on multiple topping pizzas? Is this a rip off? sort of I would say. I am more interested in having a quality pizza than making sure I have 87 pepperonis on my pizza.

Did you ever think about it THIS way: When you order a single topping pizza they are giving you more than the cost of 1 topping. Perhaps their costs are already set by the lower amount of toppings on multiple topping pizza. So when you buy that 4th topping on the pizza for 85 cents, you are being charged for the reduced amount not for the amount on a single topping pizza. If you wanted to push this issue, pizza places would just put less toppings on a single topping, instead of letting there be more on a multi-topping.

Ok..fact....this is a deceptive rip off in every sense of the meaning. Because if you pay the same for pepperoni whether it is only a pepperoni pizza..or pepperoni and rat droppings..you are paying the same and getting HALF the amount..hence..the scam is exposed.

So..their "defense" is that it won't cook right? Bull sh*t ! cough cough (clears throat).

The fair thing to do would be to only charge you for one topping no matter how many you were to order if they are going to divide it up..or maybe a nominal fee for the extra work to spread on the different toppings.lets say 10 cents for each extra..that would be almost fair.

But since they won't play fair...try this next time. Ask them how many slices of pepperoni is on a pepperoni pizza. Then ask them how many pieces of sausage is on a sausage pizza etc. Then ask them how much is it for pepperoni...how much is it for sausage etc...

Then tell them to take ALL the toppings you were just quoted a price for..and the amount of each they are charging for...and that you want it ALL cooked separately and put on the side..you will apply said toppings to the pizza yourself when it arrives. Now this way it will cook and everyone is happy...win-win.

Ashley:

If what you are saying is true then everytime anyone orders multiple toppings they are ripped off. Or are you telling me that half of pepperoni topping and half of sausage topping costs more than all the same?

What you are saying makes no sense because you are proving the point that ALL pizza chains rip off the public.

So you are telling me on a supreme pizza you put the same amout of everthing you would on a single topping pizza? Having worked for 3 different chains, that is a lie. Multiple topping pizzas always gets fewer of each.

You can disclaim me all you want but its true.

Have worked at 3 different pizza chains and the amount of toppings is in fact always the same, same amount of pepperoni, same amount of sausage, etc, whether you order one topping or five.

Readers of the ripoff report will probably be shocked to find  the worlds authority on everything, Ashley, is wrong.

Ashley:

Let me get this straight. you are saying that if they give you half the pepperoni and the equivalent amount of sausage and they charge for an extra ingrediernt this is not a ripoff?

Why do they do double topping promotions if what you say is true.

Sounds like maybe your facts are a little illogical.........;.

This is correct except that all pizza places do this. There's a very good reason they do it. If you overload a pizza, it will not cook properly and you will be left with a pizza that is undercooked in the middle and overcooked on the outside. there has to be a balance between crust/sauce/cheese/toppings. if you put the full amount of toppings for a single topping pizza on a 5 or 6 topping pizza, there would be too many toppings. The pizza would not cook right and it would taste like crap. try it some time and you will see.

Do a little research, they don't do this to screw the customer. They do this to maximize the QUALITY of the pizza.
