Parago Rebateshq.com BROTHER MFC7220... Ripoff.. Alledged missing serial number.... WORTHLESS CRAP Miami Florida
In June I purchased a Brother MFC7220 ....Only because of the 100 dollar rebate. I thought ...How could I go wrong. I completely filled out the rebate and submitted it by certified mail to eliminate the "We never received it" response. I received an email that said it had been received and was being processed. The form said 6 to 8 weeks should be allowed for processing.
After not hearing a peep from the company by Sept I checked online for the status. It was then that I learned of an alleged missing serial number. I was told to simply submit this number. This was done by email, fax and snail mail. I hoped that all was resolved.
After more time I contacted them again only to learn that the offer was closed and there was nothing that they could do. Furious, I responded and was told to contact a rep using the # on the rebate form...a ploy ...(he could have easily given me the number). I located the form and called RebateHQ and spoke to a supervisor... He acknowledged receipt of a fax but said no number was present. I have the fax that I sent so I can see the serial number clearly stated.
Any company that uses RebateHQ obviously knows of their methods. So as far as I'm concerned the manufacturer is equally guilty and I will never, ever purchase another Brother product. This product was at best mediocre.... copy quality was poor.
