You heard of car dealership lying and playing games with consumers. Have you heard of a dealership that does the same with their employees? I was looking for a new job and saw an ad for a sales manager position at Paragon Honda so I applied. I get a call from a manager asking me to come in for an interview. I live in NJ and the drive is far but I heard how huge the store was and the opportunities are great so I checked it out. It turns out that they are interested in having me be the director of e commerce for both dealerships. I was interested so I pursued the opportunity. I also found out that they called my job that I had at the time and notified my general manager that I was interviewing, this caused me problems and got my terminated from my job before I had another one to start.

This is very unethical. I came in to interview at Paragon Acura and met with Allan Blad the general manager who talked to me for two hours explaining how he needs someone of my caliber to run his department because they are lacking in a few things and he needs a strong manager. So I was interested because I had built up successful business development departments at other car dealerships. I was told I would have my pay in writing in an offer three times. I never got it at all. So that was the second lie that I had encountered.

Now I start to work and I was verbally told what my salary would be and that they are working on a commission and bonus plan for me. This should have been prepared before I started. Now they do not even have a desk or a computer for me to work at so I just use different commuters in the office. They set me up to cold call customers that already purchased vehicles from them recently to sell them another car, which is ridiculous. A few days go by and I start getting criticized and asked about why I have not sold a car yet. I get skeptical because I was never told that I was hired for that. Now I find out there already is a manager for the the Acura BDC department so I have no idea why they hired me. My first week goes by and my pay check does not come which I understand I just started. I wanted to sit down with someone to find out what my purpose is and no one could give me a straight answer. So now I feel like they are a shady dealership.

So on my second week I worked for 2 days and felt that they do not need me because my drive is long, gas and tolls are expensive and I do not know what is expected of me. A glorified rep who is the Acura manager for the BDC named Angela Ortiz starts to criticize and try to teach me how to do my job when her team is not hald as successful as I have ever been. I got fed up and quit.

Meanwhile I was expecting $900 per week salary and

worked for 8 days so they owe me $1,440. The end of the week goes by and I left, I am told my check would be mailed to me. Now a whole week goes by and I got nothing in the mail from them. I keep calling the direct supervisor and she is telling me she is working on it. I am down on my luck. Now I am supposed to get it today. However, I am dissatisfied with how the dealership lied to me about my job and once I was there had different expectations for me. I can sell cars but I do not need to drive to New York to do it and spend $20 per day in gas and tolls to do it.

So just like buyer beware when it comes to shopping at Paragon Honda Acura...if you are considering working there THINK AGAIN. The grass is not always greener on the otherside. I made a huge mistake and they got me terminated from my previous job by calling them without my permission.

Problem is finally getting resolved.

So it has been almost a month but it looks like the problem is finally resolved. It felt like pulling teeth. I gave my word as a man that I will take off this report as this problem gets resolved. Well on friday I will go to pick up my check so I am just posting on here that the problem is resolved. It looks like it is impossible to delete the report so I am saying that the problem is solved!!!
