Purchased a Tarkay original watercolor signed from Park West Gallery on the Holland Cruise Line in March of 2007. The painting has not been found and the only response is" its on the ship".
Two months later the same response with it "has to go through customs and the ship has not released the painting". The ship left Florida returned to Florida April 1 2007.
The price of the painting was listed and certified at 8,000. Yet I checked the prices and they are way under that listing so the truth in the matter is that the merchanise is not what they state it to be.
If I ever get the painting I will have it appraised and will then know the practice of this company and the cruise lines. The cruise line continues to allows this company to do business on their cruise line without regard to the clients who pay premium prices to the lines.
The cruise line states they have no liabililty for the company but allow this type of practice to continue. I will file a grievance with my attorney pending the outcome.
I will also state that anyone beware of the practices of the cruise line and the companies that do business on their lines.
I would be interested in a class action suit naming this company the the cruise lines that endorse business on their lines.
