Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I am new to the trucking industry and chose Paschall Truck Lines (PTL) as my first transportation industry employer. I completing P1 training, which requires us to spend 5000 miles driving with a trainer, Afterwards, we are required to do a number of backing maneuvers and a obstacle courses, of sorts, to move into P2 training. P2 training required that you ride with another trainee and complete 40,000 miles safely in order to complete the training process. Of course, all of this is done at a ridiculously low pay rate. Today, after being told our P2 training was completed, I was terminated via a telephone conversation, which lasted all of 10 seconds. When I asked, " what did I do wrong and why am I being terminated? I was told, "nothing, we just feel like you won't be happy here".

On the way to the bus station, I recorded a conversation with the local manager who sat in on that call and would love to give it to an attorney to file a unlawfull termination case. While I was vocal, but respectful, about all of the lies and incompetence from PTL management, I completed all miles in a safe manner and got all loads to the customer on time. I was terminated after voicing my displeasure to a guy by the name Matt, who called me to see how things were going. He said my complaints would go to the top. Sure enough, shortly thereafter, Dennis (VP Operations) called and cursed me out for voicing my complaints. If an attorney reads this, please contact me. I am expecting them to take a majority of my final pay check under the pretense that I did not complete my training, although I was told yesterday in writing, via Qualcomm, that our training was complete.

For anyone thinking about working for PTL, BEWARE, do not do it. I am a man with a college degree and have been in management positions myself. I have a clean driving record and no criminal history. Additionally, I can drive a tractor trailer very well. My point is this.... I am no THUG just giving an opinion as a disgruntled former employee. Do your research on this company (I certainly should have) and you will find very few people with anything positive to say about them. For any attorneys reading this, please, you also can do research and will determine that these people need to be stopped. What they do to employees, most of which are in desperate situations, should be a crime. At the very least, they need to be held liable in a civil court.
