While purchasing a new vehicle Pat Clark Pontiac GMC changed the price without us knowing because at that point we were working on the down payment.

The contract could not be signed that night because it was to late to get GMAC's approval of our agreement, so we took the vehicle home and my wife went back the next day without me because I had to work.

Everything was agreed on but they convinced my wife that we had agreed on something different and told her she needed twice as much money down as we had agreed on.

Not wanting to give up her new truck she reluctantly signed the papers because she could not get ahold of me to verify.

Two days later I went in to sign but left with out any papers. When I realized it I went back and they told me that they had sent them by mail. Three weeks later I recieved them and realized that they had added a service contract for $5000.00 I had told them I did not want.

About the same time I recieved the credit card bill (down payment) and realized what they had done.

Several days later we had a meeting and basically they told us that they had to added the service contract in order to make any profit on the sale.

Finally they agreed to take the service contract off, but as far as the money they STOLE from us on our credit card they said we were S O L because they had a signed contract and in court we would loose!!!!!

unless you took a cash advance, the down payment is considered borrowed by a third party(the credit card company). on the reverse side of the contract should a section in the dealer assignment area attesting to the fact that the monies was not borrowed(downpayment)I'm not an attorney, but this should invalidate the contract. good luck

Hello; I just read the complaint against Pat Clark GMC, and wanted to know if it was possible to provide my contact info to the victim. The customer states that they paid by credit card. I've worked in the credit card industry, and know for a fact that Pat Clark CANNOT charge the customer for services not rendered. All this customer needs to do is contact their credit card company and explain the situation. I would be more than happy to help in any way possible, if the customer did not get the charge reversed. I realize you may not be able to provide this customers contact info to me, however; feel free to provide my contact info to the individual, and let them know that someone is willing to help if they can. You may contact me via this website and reference this report: [email protected] Thanks for your time,
