Pat's Patch Designs Late and Rotten Candy Apples Brandon Florida
We hired Patricia Smith the owner of Pat's Patch Designs to create favors for a retirement party. We decided on candy apples because it complimented our theme.
She was very helpful at first and stated that she needed the complete balance up front, so we paid her over $400.00 through Pay Pal. She had agreed to meet us at the venue at 3:00 P.M. because the apples were part of the table decorations.
Well, the evented started on time at 4 P.M. but no apples had arrived. I called her three times and left three messages on her phone to call and let me know what happened.
She arrived after 5:00P.M. Some of the candy had melted off of the apples, we tried to salvage as many as we could. I expressed my disappointment, she claimed that she had car trouble. She even said she would refund some of the money because of the delay and the condition of the apples.
Afterwards, we realized that some of the apples had huge brown spots and the one apple that I tasted, had a burnt flavor to it. Some of the candy was sticky and stuck to the wrapper when we tried to unwrap the apple. My mom and I were not happy.
We have contacted her about the refund that she promised, but she has not given it to us. She sent an email that the refund was in the mail over 2 months ago. Now she will not return any of our calls or answer the email.
Pat should rename her business, Pat's Disaster Dishonest Designs.
