Patti Deceptive advertising. They lure you with a free trial but you ONLY have to pay the shipping. Silver springs Nevada Nevada
Of course you have to provide a credit card. What is not known is that the will charge you each month a huge amount, then penalize you when you want to return it by charging you the shipping. Very I satisfying business practice.
Normally I am very suspicious of these types of adds that require a credit card, but I fell for it. We are all very busy in our lives and it's difficult keeping up on these things And noticing the deception right away. Extend pet health promoted 'Extend joint health' for dogs by offering a free trial. Of course they required you to pay for shipping and handling using a credit card. I did not read the very fine print...if there was any indicating that the item was terribly expensive and they would be charging my credit card each month. When I received my first shipment, I just let it go and fiqured I would call and cancel.
I decided to just pay the first box and cancel, but inside was a receipt that did not show the cost of the item and no contact number. When I looked them up on line I found a 1800 number. I called to cancel and return the last shipped box. They said they would be happy to accommodate me but I had to pay for the shipping. i expained to them that that was bad practice and they offered me another alternative. They will credit my account one half the cost of the shipped item and I can keep the product. I took that option.
my problem with this whole thing is the deceptive way they went about selling the product. They ethically should be made to inform the customer that they intend on charging them each month. I was offered a 'trial' that means I want to try the product prior to purchasing committing to some type of auto pay.
I learned my lesson...this type of thing will never happen to me again. No more ordering on line, especially 'free trials'
